Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I scheduled The Apt. Movers (a moving company) to move 6 pieces of furniture on Saturday, September 16th 2006, between the hours of 2 Pm and 5 Pm. Myself and my girlfriend called them multiple times to verify they would be on time and were told they would be. When it got close to 5 Pm we called them again and then they told us they would be 2 & 1/2 hours late. So my girlfriend had them reschedule the move for tomorrow morning between 7 & 10.

We called them again in the morning around 8 Am to verify they would be indeed moving us and they told us it had never been re-scheduled and they would move us next after the movers move the 1st move scheduled. After 10 calls later, it was around 12:30 Pm and they still had not showed up yet.

I talked to the movers and they kept telling us they would be there in a half hour. Finally one of the company associates, Don Reynolds, called the movers and they admitted they had lied to him and us. Finally, they called me around 4:30 Pm saying they were at my house, but I wasn't there since we were busy moving our stuff ourselves. They wasted 3 hours of our time on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday. I was told the movers themselves were not actually even a company but "individual contractors" operating without any kind of license, and not part of a business...basically just random people. I do not appreciate being lied to by The Apt. Movers company and the "individual contractors" they choose to hire.

The contractors names are Jose Picos and Hector Vargas. The phone number they called me from is: 909-743-2064. This issue presents a public policy problem for the state, if movers are not required to be licensed or required to even be citizens of this country then they are free to commit fraudulent acts on whomever they choose to, without any legal repercussions. I suspect that The Apt. Movers company is actually hiring illegal aliens (either intentionally or unintentionally) to move people's belongings and if so, they need to be stopped from this practice.
