When I received my local Sprint bill in December there I had been billed from the Billing Resource a call to AtlanticMgmt for 2.0 minutes for 40.00 the nubber I called was 1-900-444-0353. It said the call was made at 9:47am. I immediately call the billing resource number @1-888-296-8079 since I have never heard of this company and no one was at home when the call was made.

I did get in touch with someone at the company. They said that they had traced the call to a website where I had ordered a sports and entertainment package that had a monthly fee of 40.00. I proceeded to tell them they were crazy. They said that would take off 1/2 of the fee. I became more angry and they finally said that they would take off the entire amount and I should see it in the next 1-2 billing cycles. I have just received my new Sprint bill today 1/21/06 and I have a new charge to 1-900-444-0356 made at 9:39am on 12/25/05 to Atlantic Mgmt for 40.00. They had removed the previous amt but added a new charge of 40.00.

When I contacted Sprint they said they would put it in dispute but continued to bill me again the next month for a new charge. I am very upset that I have been a victim of fradulent charges. Can you help me find a answer? I am at my witt's end.

Hey Lisa. I did some searching and found a man who's posted online having the same problems with this company. You can read his final outcome here: http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7813-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=148124&messageID=1657961 If you take the time to read the entire thread you can see step by step how he cleaned his daughter's computer and where the trojan horse was found and removed. Please download copies of AdAware (make sure it's the REAL one on their lavasoft site), AVG and Zone Alarm. All 3 are free for download online. Running spyway/adware, anti-virus and firewall programs will keep your computer safe in the future, so you don't get any more malicious code from websites you visit. Scan your computer at least once a week with AdAware and always have AVG and Zone Alarm running when you are on the internet to stay safe. Also, as I'm sure you know, never click on any email attachments unless you were expecting them. That's another way you get spyware, viruses, trojan horses and other nasties in your computer. Until you get that trojan horse off your hard drive, it will continue to dail up this company and you will get billed on your phone bill every month. That is how companies like these make their money. I'd suggest putting a block on all 900 numbers, via your phone provider immediately, so this won't happen again.

Lisa, it sounds like a "dialer program" got installed on your computer.

Lisa, Unfortunately, you need to change your phone # ASAP! It sounds like you have adware/spyware on your computer that installed a dialer program on your computer. If you are not familiar with dealing with the cleaning off of these programs, take it to a pro immediately. Also, call your phone company and install a 900# BLOCK on your phone. They are required to do this, and it should have been done automatically when you disputed the first charge. Also, you have the right to obtain the details of ANY charge to your phone bill. This will give you the name of the company who charged the fee and all contact info. Get this info and file complaints to all govt agencies involved.
