I was contacted by Blueprint Magazine regarding a client of mine that they supposedly loved and wanted to feature in the Holiday issue of their magazine. The magazine requested that I send them samples to be shot for their gift guide- which in my industry is a very usual request.
So I sent them 2 samples valued at $600- they informed me they would be sent back in 15 days which this was in November. Since then I have not heard back, cannot get in touch with anyone, and really need to get these samples back.
No magazine was ever published and if you go to their website and look quickly it looks legit but when you dig around you learn it is completely fake. Unfortunately I was moving fast and didnt catch this. Cannot believe the lengths that Blueprint has gone to to steal from a small emerging business where $600 really matters. Such crooks.
I am going to the police next.
