I ordered several items online from The Lakeside Collection on 8/28/07 for my granddaughter's birthday on 9/14/07 thinking they would be shipped promptly as most businesses do.

Anytime I order online and use my credit card my items are ALWAYS here in a week or less. Not so with Lakeside!

It is now 9/17/07 and the items STILL have NOT ARRIVED!

I checked on my order on 9/12/07 and every item except two was listed as "ready to ship." The other two items were marked backordered until 9/28/07.

I was not informed when I placed the order that they would hold everything until all items were ready to ship...although I know that there are some companies that do this, I never deal with them because I don't like to wait for things that may be on backorder until the twelfth of infinity!

I e-mailed their customer service address listed on their website and still have not heard anything from that e-mail! I assume they never answer them.

Having got no response to my e-mail inquiry I called Lakeside and spoke to someone named Michelle. I asked her why they were holding items that were "ready to ship" and had not shipped them yet.

She lied and told me that everything gets to its destination in 7 to 14 business days. I told her it had been that long since I had ordered the items.

Then she lied again and told me they would probably be here by the following Friday---NOT!

I explained to her that I wanted them here by the 14th but she said they did not do overnight shipping. Even though I was willing to pay the extra for shipping it overnight!

I told her to cancel the two items that were on backorder. She lied again and told me she would take care of it.

When I checked my order again today...those two items were still listed on my order as backordered until 9/28/07!

When I spoke to Michelle she did not offer any other explanation or any apology for the items being so long in shipping...in other words, it was my tough luck that I hadn't gotten the items yet.

I told her that this would be the last order I ever placed with her company...and she was still unresponsive.

I have not yet received the bill from my credit card company, so when the shipment comes I am going to refuse the shipment. It can go back to them at their expense and I will inform my credit card company not to pay anything to The Lakeside Collection.

I am also going to send e-mails to each of my contacts informing them to never order from The Lakeside Collection and have them check out the reports on this website.

I will also ask them to pass the e-mails along to all of their friends and contacts.

The person who owns/runs this company does not know how much power a few complaints to friends and acquaintances has on his/her business! But I think they will soon find out!
