Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The McCann Law Group,  L.L.P. told us they would be able to help get our mortgage out of foreclosure, and to get all the penalties removed from our mortgage.  We had to send our monthly bank statements, pay stubbs, and a utility bill monthly to them along with their paper work.

We started with them around January 2012.  We also, had to fax my husband's taxes that he filed.  They did not help us in any matter & didn't send any information to us as to what they were doing to help us.   The only statement we got were the minutes when they supposedly went to court.

I tried talking to the supervisor to get our money back but they refused.  They told me I didn't send the paper work in a timely fashion.  I always made sure that I sent them the information by fax.  They had their paper work on everything they needed to do what they needed to do.

I am not satisfied with this result.   We have fought & fought for our mortgage with different mortgage companies trying to get this settled, and this is rediculous what we are going thru.  This is not our fault we are going thru this because of bank of america.  We were making our monthly payments with Countrywide & then they sold out to bank of america.  Bank of america told us to not make a payment til they were settled with Countrywide.

Bank of america told us to not make a payment til they were settled with Countrywide & when we got our payment in the mail then we could go make our payment.  I did just that when we got the statement in the mail, and they told me then we were in foreclosure.  Therefore, The McCann Law Group,  L.L.P. told us they could help us get out of foreclosure.  As a result, they just dropped us; and said there is no refund for your money.  They were supposed to guarantee their help, and our money.

I would like to get our money back that we paid to them, and I know we at least paid them $16,192.00.  I would like to see them pay for what they did to alot of us victims.  Honestly, we're trying to save our mortgage; and they were just grinding us even further!!! Thank you!

While I find your situation to be a hardship, you have to understand, that it is a two party issue. While YOU are expecting the lawyers to assist you, the mortgage company has to be willing to play ball WITH the lawyers. A lawyer can do everything the Law allows and STILL get ZERO resolution because the mortgage company just doesnt wish to do so. If the mortgage company doesnt WANT to lower what you owe, then they DO NOT HAVE TO!!! They can stick by the terms and conditions of the ORIGINAL contract you signed.

As for BoA telling you to NOT make the payments, YOU NEVER STOP MAKING PAYMENTS!!! EVER!!!!!!! The moment you listened to whomever told you that bit of misinformation, you screwed yourself. This is MONEY!!! There is NO GRACE PERIOD!!! If you dont pay they foreclose......PERIOD!!! The lawyers could have done EVERYTHING that they were allowed to do but your home STILL gets foreclosed on. Where Lawyers are concerned, you will have to sue them in order to reclaim ANY portion of what you have paid. They can bill you for EVERY penny you paid, and you could STILL get foreclosed on. I feel its your ignorance of HOW refis and foreclosures are done that has caused this issue. Ignorance is not BAD per se, it just means a lack of knowledge. But in THIS instance your lack of knowledge and the ASSUMPTIONS that you have made have put you in this boat.

I would try a different Lawyer, and I would contact BoA and try and get some resolution to this isue. A Lawyer can only do so much. Even as YOUR representative. SOmetimes you just have to bite the bullet and do the work yourself. FYI: Going after a Lawyer is ALMOST impossible. Its a "Good Ole Boy" system at the local court house. If you dont believe me go sit in on some cases and you will see for yourself. Your BEST BET would be to approach you states BAR association and report the lawyer in question.
