The Rental Office ripoff: beware before giving these people you're money that it is a SCAM!!! TORONTO Ontario Canada
Beware of The rental office in Toronto that makes you sign a incomprehensible contract and tricks people into believing that there service is beneficial. I would have been sleeping on the streets if it fate did not work to my favour. The rental office is a "company" that asks for a deposit promising that they will find you outrageously cheap apartments for a fraction of the market cost. I paid my deposit and the "consultant" that I spoke to promised that if I did not recieve any rental properties by the time I had to move then I would be reimbursed my whole deposit of $200.00. I called their service everyday as the contract said and I also found that they kept repeating the same listings, most were basement apartments and also many days they did not have any listings at all. My landlord realized towards the end of my moved date that I would not be successful in finding anything through the rental office so she let me stay until the summer, if it was not for her I would be sleeping on the streets thanks to the rental office. So now I'm out $200.00, I do not have much money because I really need that money back because I don't just have money to throw away and I am very young. Check all business credentials of "services" such as this one before you agree to any terms. Don't pay for services such as this one because most times it's a SCAM!!!
