The Unique Bride Of Burlingame ripoff deposit without option of refund or store credit, even if you don't have dress and no alterations have been made. Unprofessional Owner. Burlingame California
in the month of may i cancelled the order of a bridesmaid dress for a wedding that is 5 months ahead. i spoke to peggy/owner, manager and checked to see if order was made because if it wasn't i qualified for refund of deposit of the dress. she checked and stated the order was sent already.
i asked for proof of order and she would fax to me. i never received the fax and she lied and said she did. after so many calls with no return calls i finally got a hold of her and she told me she will fax delivery form and to subtract two months from that and that is the date she ordered dress.
this was not what we originally discussed, and she stated she couldn't because of other's confidential information. i stated there is a way to block out that information and she had agreed to do it. i just want to see date of order.
she never wanted to comply and i asked if i could at least get store credit. she didn't want to give me neither refund or store credit, so she went behind my back and sold my dress to bride to be and called back and told me it's out of her hands deal with the bride.
the bride doesn't have to give me the deposit for the deposit went to the unique bride of burlingame. owner is unprofessional and unwilling to meet clients halfway. also, if there is a problem with dresses she is hardly there or will tell her sale representatives she is on vacation to avoid your calls.
her policy is no refunds, no exchanges, no store credit, and if postponed or cancelled weddings all balance will be paid in full, without proof that order of dresses have been made. she gets the money and never orders the dresses, so she's not stuck with the dresses, and keeps your money.
