I purchased a 1 gb mp3 player for $80 in May 2006. I was going to go with apple but decided to go with a knock off due to the good rebate offer from Onrebate.

Issue 1) Tigerdirect had the link for the rebate pointing at the wrong form. There was a rebate form for each seperate month( May, June, July). However all link pointed to the June form.

I filled this out, and (my fault - didn't make a copy of the UPC as I have never had an issue buying from Tigerdirect). Of course I sent in all the info and was told it was denied because of the wrong form.

Phoned both companies, Tigerdirect finally gave me a link to the right form. Called Onrebate who assured me If I filled out the right form and remailed everything in (including a reference # for the failed rebate) that I would get my money back.

However, three weeks later I received an email saying that my 2nd attempt was denied because of no UPC code ( was sent in with the 1st attempt (I didn't make a copy)).

Phoned onrebate again, explained the situation and I was told to try again citing both failed reference #'s now.

Again, three weeks later I received an email saying my third attempt failed because of no UPC or some stupid BS.

Called Onrebate, finally reached an agent who told me that I would never see the rebate money becuase I didn't make a copy of the original UPC and they probably had already thrown out the paperwork from all of my other submissons.

AND TO TOP ALL OF THIS, that particular 1GB mp3 player now has a cracked LCD screen due to being out in the sun in 32 degrees celsius weather and I do not have the original UPC #. WHAT A PIECE OF SH**. DO NOT BUY FROM TIGERDIRECT.
