TIGERDIRECT ripoff failed to explain that there had to be another purchase for the fifty dollar rebate RIPOFF Orland Park Illinois
On 01/15/06 I went to Orland park Best Buy. There was a cannon printer mp450 for sale. Their price was 149.00 with a fifty dollar re-bate with no other purchase. My big mistake i didn't buy it. I went down the street to tigerdirect too see if they had the printer.They did't have it in stock so I asked a salesman if they could and what was the price. He then looked it up on the cp and told me they have and the price 139.00 with a fifty dollar re-bate. This was a gift for my daughter which lives in Mich. So I asked how soon could I get, since I was going to my daughters house on 01/26/06, his reply we'll have this friday 01/20/06. I said fine but if can't tell me now and i'll pay the 10.00 more at best buy they have it in the store, he say's we'll have it for you don't worry. We will call or email you when its in.
Friday comes buy and no call or email. I call the store on Sat. 1/21/06 and a salesmen tells me they won't know until Monday if it came in the stock in the back will be check then.
Monday 1/23/06 I call again this time I get a saleslady name Millisa. She tells me that there is no order on record at the store. I go through the whole story again about the purchase and that i can still get it at Best Buy. She tells me they have one at the other store and she'll have it sent to them and I can get it wednesday the day before I leave. She again tells me not to worry about it it'll be there if not I still got one day to buy at Bust Buy.
Now it's Thursday the day I'm leaving for Mich. No call about the printer.I call the store and a salesman tells me there is no printer there for me. Now I tell him same old story about me getting this printer. He say he'll speak with his manger and call me back. Now they call back and say yes it's here and you can pick it up. So I picked it up all of this to save 10.00. the sales clerk says I'll have too my rebate from on line.
I gave the printer to my daughyer for her birthday in Mich. So I couldn't send for the rebate until I got home which was 01/31/06. This and only this was the first time I know of any additional purchase to get the rebate.
I called the store on wed. 02/01/06 and spoke with Millisa. She said she would speak with her manger and let me know if they would do anything.
On Sunday 02/05/06 I go to the store since no one will call me. I talk with the manger he says ther is nothing that they can do, I can return it if I want and pay 25% restocking fee. That would be around 35.00 and i still have to get back from my daughter's house. I said I would even take store credit, but he says they can't do anything. I dont know if i would take any kind of credit from Tigerdirect. I have told and sent them a lot of people because they have good deals. Well good deals aren't what you think they are.
