I too am currently suffering the same fate. I purchased an e-machines refurbished unit which included a $75 rebate. Filed online, submitted documentation, and received confirmation e-mails after each step. Then on 1/10/2005 I received an e-mail stating: "Your rebate status has been updated! Your rebate for: $75 Rebate On Select eMachine Desktop PC's has been processed. Your new status is:ACCEPT You should receive your check in 4-6 weeks." At the end of February, I submitted an e-mail inquiry. The response was the following: "We have located your rebate registration in our records. Your rebate was accepted on 1/10/2005. Please note that the check can take 6-8 weeks from the acceptance date to arrive. As soon as "payment processed" appears on the rebate status page it will indicate that the check has been mailed to your address." Well, guess what? It's now 3/19 (which means they've exceeded 9 weeks, and counting....) still no change in status on their website. My spidey senses are tingling, if you get my drift. To be fair to Tiger, they have promptly shipped everything I've ordered; but the rebate troubles seem to be more and more the rule rather than the exception. I will definitely think twice before ever ordering a rebate item from Tiger again.
