This complaint was brought to our attention via forwarded e-mail by an unknown corporation.
First, most of the facts claimed in the report were fabricated. I, as the manager in the business, recall such an incident arising from a credit card charge-back. I successfully reversed the charge-back when we offered our explanations verses the complainants similar claims to the credit card company.
But, as good customer relationship practice, we offered a small refund to the complainant to offset the fee she allegedly paid to an outside agency for the special training she mentioned. The facts were that the complainant was pregnant during the training period and missed a considerable amount of time in learning the esthetics knowledge and skill. The teacher, Ms. Leung, while very serious in her profession, specifically required the complainant to make up the lessons she missed, including not offering the two special lessons for preparing her for the State Board practical examinations should she failed to do the make up lessons. The complainant obviously was very unhappy and went to outside help, passed the examination and obtained her license.
Tinny Beauty was established in 1977. Its founder, Ms. Lydia Leung, has been a great educator in esthetics for over 20 years. If the complainants claims in the report were true, how can Ms. Leung and her business survive for 32 years ?!
I truly believe the complainant, after her credit card charge-back being reversed, was upset about the incident and wanted to convey her view to Ms. Leung, but via an improper channel that Ms. Leung did not have a chance to read it.
