Initial oil change was done incorrectly, put the wrong oil filter on resulting in total loss of oil, number of miles put on car with no oil in engine.

Returned to complian, informed them if engine damaged they would have to replace. They offerred 3 free oil changes for inconvenience.

Several months later, and several oil changes later, I reeturned for a "free oil change" only because I was in a hurry and they were open on Saturday.

Service manager told me I needed an air filter and a fuel filter, because of a pending 2000 mile trip I agreed to have the work done, against my better judgement but, how can they screw up an air and fuel filter change?

After 1/2 hour the service manager told me whomever changed the fuel filter previously cross threaded the line and his mechanic could not remove it, it was locked and he could not turn it. I told him to stop and I would take to the Toyota garage to fix, he stated the car was not operable. I told him I owned the car since new and no one had ever changed the fuel filter previously. I later confirmed with the Toyota specialists that they almose never change a fuel filter, it is not a recommended service item, only change in the event of water or sugar in the gas tank.

Tiresplus mechanics had to cut the fuel line, did not have a rplecement in stock and stated Toyota did not either. They sent the line to a tube and line repair shop for a new end. Work was not appropriate and store manager (Frank Ward) told service manager (Mike) to not put it on the car. Four days later the car was repaired, I requested the line and the filter and told them I was taking to Toyota for their opinion. The filter I was given was a new after market filter that had never been on a car nor had gas put through it.

I returned to talk to Frank Ward who assurred me he would look into this and correct the error. Mike called me and agreed to contact Toyota to ensure the fuel filter did not require service, he stated he has changed hundreds Toyota Camry filters over the years. He said he would get back to me. I offerred to pay all charges except those relating to the problem they caused with the fuel filter.

I stopped payment on the $542.67 check required to get my car returned.

Both Mike and Frank assurred me they would review this and get back to me. The only contact I have had is a letter from "Certegy Paynent Recovery Services, INC, of St Petersburg, FL" stating they have paid the Tiresplus bill and now now collecting from me.

I called Mr Larry Morgan (1-800-269-4424)owner of Morgan Tire and Tireplus, he stated he would have Mr Carl Mesmer call me to discuss my problem. I have not heard from Mr Mesmer.

The work performed was not required, the incompotent mechanic destroyed my fuel filter and line and I should not be resonsible for a $542.67 to fix their incompotence.

I had a problem with Tiresplus in Warner Robins also. My problem was with the N Houston RD location. I sent a fax and email via their online contact information and I was contacted by a district manager. He helped me solve my issue quickly and with no hassle!

I moved here 6 years ago, and have been dealing with the same man named Gary the whole time. He works for Tires plus that use to be Olson Tires and Mike Houston Automotive before that. Now that is the Tires Plus on Watson and Houston the only time I dealt with the other one on Russell was when Gary was moved there for a bout a year. I have referred several people there and thay all have been satisfied with the work and service they get. Maybe it's not the company as much as the people we deal with, gary has my trust no matter what name is above the door.

DEAR MR.GERALD I AM A 32 YR OLD LADY THAT OWNS A TOYOTA CAMRY JUST LIKE YOURSELF.YOUR COMPLAINT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION BECAUSE I AM A CURRENT TIRES PLUS CUSTOMER. THE INFORMATION THAT YOU CLAIM TO HAVE RECIEVED FROM A TOYOTA SPECIALIST IS 100% INCORRECT. IF YOU WOULD REFER TO YOUR TOYOTA OWNERS MANUAL IT CLEARLY STATES THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE YOUR FUEL FILTER EVERY 1 YEAR. IF THE MANUAL IS NOT AVAILABLE TO YOU , GO TO TOYOTA MAINTENANCE.COM . I DONT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE THAT CLAIM TO KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT CARS...WHY DO THEY INSIST ON TAKING IT TO A SHOP FOR REPAIRS? WHY NOT TRY AND FIX IT YOURSELF NEXT TIME. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE POINTING THE FINGER.IT SEEMS TO ME THAT TIRES PLUS DID DO THE RIGHT THING BY NOT ALLOWING A RIGGED UP FUEL LINE TO BE INSTALLED ON YOUR CAR.
