Title Boxing Club Lafayette Not allowed to cancel contract equals financial gain for this business! Scam! Sad! Rip off! Lafayette Louisiana
Fairly new to Laffy and seems appealing, but l strongly suggest you don't go this route! They have other similar places that offer high intensity workouts! MMA gym on Ambassador and HIT with HJ on Verot school road to name a few. The contract you sign means nothing. The owners are unprofessional to say the least. Contract ended in Feb 2014 then went month to month. For several months I went to the club to cancel membership and the staff "didn't know how." I literally went there in March, April, and May and nothing. They were forcing me to accumulate more charges. I began documenting all correspondence and took pictures of all notes I left with staff clearly stating I wanted to terminate membership. This was mainly because they would constantly say they had no recollection of me wanting to cancel. I attempted to appeal this with owners Cheri and Wayne, but was not successful. I even called "corporate" and voiced my concern with what was happening to me and the lady who answered stated that they are privately owned and all operate with their own rules. Also that they weren't part if the BBB. The owner said same when I spoke about reporting them. All they did was threaten me with ruining my credit and disrespecting me with very absurd conversations. Like I said, I was forced to continue accumulating fees. I didn't feel it was fair to pay but I wanted to resolve this problem ASAP with whatever they wanted. So I went to the club to pay and the owner was present. I paid the whole balance and waited for 45 minutes for her to figure out how to cancel the membership. She reassured me that the membership was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged anymore. About a month later the manager, Tia, calls me stating she found one of my notes about canceling and she wanted to see if this was taken care of yet. I informed her that it was taken care of in Title's favor, more money. I asked that she inform them that she did find the letter. I didn't ask for the refund, only asked for them to be aware. Well, On August 8th, I get a phone call stating that my account was in phase 1 of collections. I contacted the collection agency and they followed up with the club. Tia called me back asking if there was anything she could do to make me continue with the contract. I reminded her of who I was and how I would never allow them to get another penny from me. I didn't think much of it when she stated that the contract would finally be terminated on 8/8/14 until I get my credit card statement and I have a charge from June and July on my credit card for title. CHERI, THE OWNER NEVER CANCELLED THE CONTRACT. I am waiting for them to contact me to resolve this current problem but I have little confidence they will chargeback my card. All I am saying is, if you want to experience this treatment, sign up with Title Boxing Club!

I am completely blown away by this consumer. She has misreprensented the information given. I would never choose to put out personal account information, but she gives me no choice at this point. What this lady has failed to mention is that we couldn't cancel her account because it was delinquent! We tried contacting her on multiple occasions and for months on end. She ignored our phone calls until she was turned over to collections. She came into the club screaming and yelling profanities (with her child on her hip). Insulted all of my employees and then left. She then came back into the club a month or two later and we told her she had to take care of all of the charges, and once she realized how much had accrued (becauce of her lack of response and unwillingness to pay the bill) thats when she became completely unreasonable. So again the charges just mounted, and that was her fault not ours. She failed to mention this in her report. We have notes in our system for everytime we tried to reach her and I also have a delinquent report as well. We were NEVER disrespectful to her, we take pride in the fact that we have very happy members and could literally have hundreds vouch for us. If you find one that is not happy with us, it's because they don't pay thier bills. They love us until thet decide they don't want to pay the bill anymore. We are a franchise yes, but we like to operate as a mom and pop type business, where everyone feels comfortable and made to feel like this is "their" club. Perhaps if this lady would have come to the club and actually worked out, she would have gotten to know all of us like our other members know us. We are far from what she has described in this report, and this is the worst case of YOU CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ. We don't have any other bad reviews, except this one. She did tell me that she would do everything she could to ruin our business. However, God is in control of my future and my business. I just hope that anyone who reads this understands that this is completely false and we just might seek legal action because we do have proof of the delinquent charges.
