My husband and I wanted to get some windows for our home. The owner of the company came to our house and gave us a price for the windows. My husband wanted to wait a day or two just to make sure that it was the right thing to do.

Town & Country Remodeling Suggested that he could get us the windows and get them at the price we needed. We sign the contract and a week later he called us and told us that he made a mistake and that he made our monthly payments to low. He wanted to know if he could increase the payments by $55.00 more a month. He said that he would not be able to give us what we agreed to. We told he that we couldn't pay any more that we signed the contract said. He told us that the best he could do is pay the $55.00 for three months or so.

We told him that we signed the contract and that we did not want to change it or take out a lone like he was trying to get us to do . We felt pressed to do what he wanted us to do.We only had three days to get out of the contract and our time pasted. So even if we wanted to not get the windows we couldn't get out of the contract. We just feel that he miss lead us about what he kept on saying what he could do for us. He say he had a honest and good name and product {LIE}. He wanted to take us for a ride.

This report is ridiculous from its title to its content. In order to rip someone off you must take something from them and not give them anything in return. Usually a "rip off" has to do with money. If you read this complaint you will notice that at no point does this person state that I took any money from them. That is because no money was ever exchanged. Therefore, a "rip off" did not occur. Their accusation of me lying had to do with the bank not approving the requested terms of their loan.

It is true that these people entered into a contract with me to buy windows. They applied for financing and requested a monthly payment that they could afford. The bank approved their loan but offered them a higher monthly payment which they could not afford. This might seem strange but financing companies do not want to lend a small amount of money for a very long term. The banking commission frowns upon such practices because there is just too much interest associated with these types of loans. Therefore, the customer decided not to move forward so they cancelled the contract. In order to make this work for them, I offered to help by paying their first three payments in an attempt to get them the windows they so desperately needed. Their appreciation of my offer was to write a negative report about me on ripoff report.

Their report is so untrue and slanderous that it is preposterous. They stated that I would not let them out of the contract. I have found in over my 30 years in business that it is not a good idea to try to hold someone to a contract when they have no money to pay for the job.  That is why their position which states that I would not let them out of the contract is absurd.

The bottom line is that this was not a "rip off" because as I stated earlier, NO MONEY EVER CHANGED HANDS. It's more of a story about an ungrateful customer who didn't appreciate my kindness.  I was willing to make less profit by making some of their payments for them and they decided to show their appreciation by posting this report.
