In May of 2007, I drove off the lot of Parkway Toyota with a 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE. Since the purchase of the car I 've made 15 payments towards the purchase of the car. Toyota recently sent me a letter stating that I

was in default of the payments. There is some disagreement about how many payments were actually made. I believe that Toyota has made an error in the crediting of my payments. When I purchased the car I put

$500.00 down on the car. Atr that time I traded in a Dodge Caravan of which they only gave me $2000 for as a trade in. It was a 2002. I am currently paying Toyota $750.00 a month for this car which will will be 4 years old soon and currently has 45,000 miles.

I have had problems with this car starting with the tires. When I first purchased the car it soon developed a bubble in the tire. Toyota refused to replace the tire and wanted to charge me over $200.00 for a new tire.

This is after only two months of owning the car. Eventually the tire burst. I had to go to an Strass Auto and pay over $200.00 for a new tire. After goging to another Toyota Dealership for an oil change I was told

that the tires on the car were not compatible with each other. After signing up for car insurance I learned that there were various recalls related to this model. Toyota never informed me of these recalls. The only recall that I learned of was a lift gate recall. There were other individual recalls. One which involved the tires. They make it very hard for you to refinance the payments for the car. I would like an investigation performed

concerning these issues.

Nice to see a toe tapping little number every time a Toyota post is made . It sure warms my heart to see such support for the company. With that lovely little tune someone might make the assumption you love their vehicles . hmm with Christmas coming thought i would say I love your singing ( lontg as you can carry a tune , hehe) .Oh I've never owned one, I drive a Chevy Equinox and I love it with a paid for '06 and 125k miles on it. Still going strong!

You have a couple different issues but they seem to be mis-information on your part rather than a RipOff...Although I am sure it won't be long before RoR's resident Toyota "GOOGLE THIS" person chimes in with the latest Christmas song. You stated you made 15 payments. If that was in May 2007, your first payment would have been 30-45 days after this. So at the latest that your first payment was due would be sometime in early July 2007. We are currently in November 2008 and if your November payment is not due you should have made 16 payments, if your Nov due date has passed you should have made 17 payments by now. So at best you are 1 payment behind and are in default, at worst 2 payments behind. But if you do feel there is an error you should have proof of all of your payments and be able to show if there is an error. The down payment and Trade-In is not applied to your "monthly payment". That is a totally separate amount and just reduces the original amount you financed. That is without the down you would have owed $2500 more, and probably be paying closer to $800 a month. The age or number of miles of your car have nothing to do with this. Now, if the tire was recalled and you did have to have it replaced. If you have your receipt to show that you paid you can make a claim with Toyota to reimburse you for the cost of the tire. But it would be in standards of the recall, so if they only pro-rated the cost you would only get a pro-rated refund. If you did not get an approrpriate tire then that is a problem you have to take up with the tire shop.
