Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was sold a used 2002 Honda Accord by Toyota of Roswell in Sept. 07. A month or so after I bought the car, the brakes went bad, and I had to spend $500 to fix them. Also, the car had new tires, but the stems were old and had not been changed. I had to spend $200 on new tires because of the fact that the stems were bad. I asked Toyota to reimburse me for these expenses, but they said they will not do so.

Starting in the Summer of 2008, I started having flat tires, one at a time. All 4 tires went flat at different times, due to the fact that the stems were never changed when the tires were. Within a 3 month period, all 4 tires went flat! I was stranded a few times, and thankfully I had emergency road service, or I would have had a few more problems on my hands. All of this was a major hassle!

I called Toyota of Roswell, and I spoke to Greg Lindley, one of the managers. I spoke to Greg twice. He said he would talk to Kevin Wheat, his manager, but I later found out that Greg never did speak to him at all!

I finally spoke to Kevin Wheat, and he said Jerry Gresham was the owner of Toyota of Roswell when I bought my car. Since then, Jerry sold the car to Nalley Cars, and Jerry is now the owner of Toyota South, in Morrow, Ga.

Kevin said he talked to Jerry at Toyota South about the situation, and Jerry said he would not be able to help me out. Jerry dealership was the one who sold me the faulty car when he was the owner of Toyota of Roswell, but now he is assuming no responsibility of reimbursing me for my expenses. Kevin also said he, himself, cannot help me out.

I also spoke to Gary Marrota, manager at Toyota South, and he said they could not help me.

This is a classic case of no one assuming responsibility for the problem that I encountered! It was their fault for the faulty car they sold me, but they are not willing to do the right thing.

I bought my last 2 cars from Toyota of Roswell, but I will buy my next car from their competitor, Honda. Whether you guys agree or disagree that I should have even written this report, I have the choice to buy from a company that offers me the best service, and I believe Honda will treat me better than Toyota has!

Toyota has lost a long-time customer because of actions on their part! For the future,I want to encourage everyone to buy a Honda, instead of a Toyota! I especially want to encourage everyone NOT to buy a car from Toyota of Roswell (in Roswell, Ga.) or Toyota South (in Morrow, Ga.).

Karl, I appreciate your support! I made it clear to all three Toyota managers I spoke to that I will buy my next car from Honda, and I intend to do that! The people at these car dealerships don't care anything about the consumers! They will rip us off any way they can! I explained to one of the managers that he could have just reimbursed me about $300-$400 for my expenses and hassles (getting stranded several times with those flat tires), and I would have bought my next car from Toyota. I also told him that he made a bad economic decision, because he will lose a lot more than $300-$400 when I buy my car from Honda, and he loses out on those commissions! However, the common sense logic I tried to explain to him didn't seem to register in his brain! For these people, it's money first and people second! I agree with you. I don't believe these dealerships inspect these cars when they get them. At least they didn't inspect mine! They should have checked to see that the 4 stems had not been changed on the new tires, but they didn't care! When I spoke to them about it, they just made excuses!

RIGHT THING BY FILING YOUR REPORT because it will show others that they should SPEAK-OUT also!!!! Isn't it interesting how Toyota, and their Dealer Network, will say that they take PRIDE in their business, and offer only the best used cars & trucks at their Dealerships? It's a COMPLETE LIE! They will LIE & LIE & LIE and get many people to buy a used car or truck, and they'll say it went through their shop and was 'safety checked' and approved by a certified, or master technician. TRUST ME, it's a LIE! The used cars & trucks at many Toyota Dealerships are put onto the lot WITHOUT ANY 'safety check' or 'inspection'. Often times there are still POP CANS, and TRASH in the used vehicles!!!! If you REALLY want to find out if a used car was 'INSPECTED', or 'SAFETY CHECKED', do this- Ask the Used Car Manager for the 'REPAIR ORDER' for that particular vehicle!!! That 'REPAIR ORDER' should show all the things that were done to that used car or truck by the Dealership! And guess what? IT COULD BE A LIE!!! Just because they show you a piece of paper detailing repairs, or maintenance performed on that vehicle, DOESN'T mean they did it!!!! For every 100 Toyota Dealerships in the USA, I'll say that 80 are LYING to their customers about EVERYTHING from the time you step out of your car & into their Dealership. I might actually be a bit LOW on my prediction, but I'll give 20 out of 100 the benefit of the doubt! Make sure to 'GOOGLE' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about Toyota Engine Problems and read all of them. Then, click on 'Airbags' and read them too! TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW & SPREAD IT ALL OVER THE WORLDWIDE WEB! I'm Karl, and I approve this Update! P.S. This is to EVERYONE in the USA: How many of YOU were told about Toyota's ENGINE SLUDGE problem, by someone at the Dealership, when you went into a Toyota Dealership to buy a new or used Toyota? MY GUESS: NOT ONE OF YOU!!!!!!!!! I WONDER WHY?
