I have been a tracfone customer ever since they came into being but today I decided I do not want to be their customer anyore!

I had two tracfones fall of 2013 and I had given one to my son to take with him to school in case he had problems,because the other phone was misplaced in his room. The phone I gave him had been a safelink phone and had over 600 minutes on it. About a month later this phone was stolen while he was in gym class. At that time it still had about 485 minutes on it. He called me from school and told me that the phone had been stolen so I immediately called and reported it stolen and had the phone deactivated. Later that day I called the phone to be sure it had been deactivated, and it had. When I deactivated the phoneI was told I could call back anytime to have the minutes from the stolen phone added to another phone. I told them I wasn't sure when that would be since i couldn't afford another phone.

I called today, September 20, 2014 to get the minutes put on another phone and was told there were no minutes available on the stolen phone when I gave them the Serial number of the stolen phone. I immediately asked for a supervisor but they told me the same thing. I am just sick because to replace that many minutes will cost me way more than I can afford. 

If they had told me there was a time constraint I would have called sooner. All I can think is that the phone was only deactivated for a few days and then reactivated with a new number and the thief was allowed to use up my minutes or the company just decided to  be very dishonest and drop my minutes into a black hole!

I have also had problems with this company as Straight Talk. My daughter has a phone she imported from another company to Straight Talk. Even though we buy her the unlimited text, talk, and data cards every month, she has no data connection ,which is supposed to be 3g or 4g! She has called them over 6 times for this problem and they keep wanting her to enter codes into her phone which isn't possible since its a ported phone not a straight talk phone, and it has never been fixed so the data connection will work without wi-fi.

My son has had it that every six months he has to buy a new Straight Talk phone because his flip phone he likes just up and stops working. He calls trying to get it fixed but they can never fix it, won't replace it and so he just buys a new one and gets a new number. So frustrating!
