Travel By Owner Alot of broken promises Internet
Travel By Owner contacted me about selling my timeshare, I told them right from the beginning that I was not going to give them any money.They tolld me that they make their money off the the interest charged to the buyer.
I agreed to list with them.A few days later I was contacted again and told that they have a buyer so i asked what the next step was? I was told that I had to pay for a title search i agreed and paid them $1195.00 and it would take no longer to close than 90 days.
Well 90 days came and went and I would call and get the run around.Then I was told that the buyers had a lien against them that had to be cleared before they could get financing.I was also told that the buyers put down 20% of the selling price which would be paid to me if they could not get financed.
This all started in March of 2010 so it has been 15 months now. Back in August I was told that the buyers had a year till that year came then I was told they have 18 months! Only 3 months to go and I'm sure I will be told that the time has been extended. I have contacted the Florida Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint and also the division of consumers services and file a complaint with them also.Their lies have to stop!!! Something has to be done so these companies stop ripping people off!!!
