Travis & The Local Painters Company Owner : Verbal Threat & Intent Cause Physical Harm Maryland or Atlanta Nationwide
I found ads on my local Craigslist regarding daily painters that can be rented for deep discounts. The company that goes by" The Local Painters" or www.the-local-painters.com is ran by a guy named Travis. I called him to discuss my painting needs, he was extremely impatient with me, when I asked questions on payment and materials. Most legitimate contractors will supply materials like paint brushes, tape, and sometimes the paint itself. Reputable and quality painters will also expect payment at the end of the job (either daily or after work is fully completed) however Travis requested several items that would have to be purchased and a deposit of $150 before starting. I expressed my concerns and instead of being polite or offering
a fair meeting of the minds he begins yelling at me and tells me its best if I find another company to do the work. Then the call drops. He calls me back again screaming that he's at Disney World and really wants my business. I tell him that its not going to work out and his tone was inappropriate especially since I'm a new client. Call drops again. Travis then texts me " Stupid c*** n*****, we are coming over to bust out your windows". Totally inappropriate and unnecessary over a new client who chose not to hire him. Can you imagine the clients that did and what they went through with this person, his employees, people that personally know him??! Needless to say I called the police and filled a battery report. It's pathetic how he has done this similar behavior to others as I've found out. Beware of this guy and according to the detective threats are not to be taken lightly these days.
