Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

People please never ever use Trinity Custom Homes as a builder for your house. They are nothing but a scam and rip off. we used them for our house and it was nothing but problems from day one. The sales person wrote the contract up wrong from the beginning, lied and told us anything we wanted to do ourselves to save money was perfectly ok with them. I later found out that wasnt the case. They love to tell you that anything you do will not be covered under their warranty but once they get the last check from you good luck getting them back out to fix their screw ups. I had to stop building from the start because when they framed the house over half of the exterior wall boards were either split, busted or full of termite holes. Had i not seen this they would have left them there and covered it up and never said a word. The supperintendent was supposed to call every friday to let me know what was done. I heard from him a handful of times, mostly when i called him. Since i was told i could do whatever i wanted i decided i wanted to paint the house since they were going to paint the whole thing one color. At first i was told no problem if you want to paint the inside thats fine however when that time came i was told since it was already in the contract they had to paint it. They use the cheapest low quality flat paint they can find and dont do a good job with it. I have rough spots all over my walls where it was either not sanded good or they got trash on the roller and painted it on the wall anyway. I have spots on walls where they didnt do a good job patching the sheetrock and painted it anyway knowing that wasnt right, i have trim molding that was never cut to proper length or nailed to the floor. i have high spots and bumps in my flooring where they didnt get the sheetrock mud up before they put the flooring down. I have several window screens that the actual screen is coming out of the frame. It took weeks and many phone calls to get someone back out here to replace some siding that came loose from the house just for them to do a half a*s job putting it back on. two weeks later the same piece came loose again. i had trash swept into my air conditioner vents prior to intalling the floors. Mind you all these things were pointed out to the superintendent during both walk throughs of the house prior to the end of the contract. I wasnt told until the time it was needed that digging the ditch to the house for underground power and chipping away the excess contrete from the footing for the contuit for power was a "by customer" issue. Once they had finished the house i asked them about the steps going from the garage to the house and i was told oh, thats your responsability. If you want us to build them it will cost extra. the garage itself is the smallest i have ever seen. To get the car in far enough to be able to close the garage door you have to climb over the hood of the car to get to the door. there is no room to walk around and up steps. I have voiced my displeasure with the whole thing with everyone including the head guy at Trinity. Billy and given me empty promises and excuses time after time. Prosimes this is not how they do business and will do whatever it takes to make it right and honor their warranty on the home. He has promised me he would personally order things to replace the bad parts of the house himself and have someone contact me to fix them. the last conversation i had with him was over a month ago, still no phone call and no new window screens. I fix these things myself on my dime because i cant wait around for them to come when and if they feel like it. Once you do that last walk through and they get their last check from you they are gone. Good luck getting them back out to fix or repair anything. These houses look good in pictures but the reality of it is you can get a better looking master bath in a double wide moble home. There is no counter space, no cabnient space and everything is over priced. they tried to charge me $1590 for and 8x8 deck on the back of my house. For $1400 i build a 16x32.  4 times the size for far less money. You are told what you want to hear up front but when you sign that contract you find out the "custom" in trinity custom homes is their custom not yours. Its all a scam folks, if you want a high quality house built,  call someone other than Trinity Custom Homes. All you will get from them is a giant headache and a poor quality job. I will never reccomend them to anyone as a builder!!!!!
