Troy At Jim Laabs Music Verbally abrasive, unhelpful, hung up the phone Stevens Point Wisconsin
During the week of 15 June 09 I wrote two emails to Troy, one regarding incorrect accordion straps the store sent me, the second regarding an inoperative and expensive accordion I bought from the store. No one called on the phone, and I received no emails.
I called today, 24 June 09 and Troy answered. I reminded him about my two emails. He sounded combative and irritated, told me that he answers all emails promptly. I told him that I recieved nothing, and there was nothing in web mail either. He asked in an abrasive and testy voice, "What should I do?" His caustic behavior was stunning and took me aback. I responded, "Jeez, it is true what some people say about you on the web sites." Troy responded, "You're being a pain. Call back when you are less of a pain." And he slammed the telephone connection.
That was the end of the conversation, or lack thereof. I never did get the opportunity to ask him to resend the emails that he claimed to have sent. I am now stuck with a set of "monster straps" for my Jib Laabs "Excalibur" accordion, AND I have the accordion that now has a failed part in the bass section. Absolutely, positively, I can not recommend Laabs Music, I will never do business with them again.
