Hello, My name is Robert Anthony Pifher, I am the President/CEO of JHHP RECORDS, INC. I was told about this post from an artist. Around Dec 20th my office did get a phone call from tune 97 about us using tune 97 for consideration to sign artist, I politely told this person NO! I told him at the current time we do not use internet service like yours to sign artist, he then calls this one person and introduces to me her, he said this person was a famous person, We talked for a few minutes then he came back after she hung up and said now do you want to user our services, I still said I am not interested and hung up. Now (March 31, 2007 I am finding out of this post on ripoff.com, I do not know who this Paul is. As we never had an employee named Paul. I do not know what is going on as we never signed up for account. My Board of Directors authorized me to contact the company attorney to investigate this matter We are asking ripoff.com to remove this illegal, and slanderous post above. My attorney thinks it was the owner of tune 97 that posted all of the above. I really have no idea, but that is what we will be finding out. JHHP RECORDS, INC. is a independent record label that is incorporated in the state of California. My company holds high standards in the music industry and my Board of Directors is picky on who we sign. JHHP RECORDS, INC. takes this matter very seriously. Robert. A. Well.....Every one can see how busy Mr Robert is in Touring the whole world. Instead he appears to have whole day at his leisure to sit on this site and fabricate the stories. I truly believe My Robert may be suffering from some mental illness and we do not have time to waste to respond to lies and fabricated stories or act as a outlet for his hallucinations. :-)... Because Mr Robert will keep on putting more and more lies. I paid this ss. person via Western Union $100.00 for full access as we agreed to My company is listed with ASCAP as a publisher. I am able to have my artist music in retail stores world wide, and all top major MP3 sites, we work hard and we are very dedicated to making our artist a rising star, but all artist knows we will not make promises we cannot keep, and we do not guarantee how much money the artist make in sales. It is a known fact that Tune97.com charges his artist to use his gold service, and their is no way a person can cancel the gold membership on his website. He claimed over the phone to have labels from major labels But when I talked to my contacts at the said locations they said they do not use this company and has never heard of him. the 70 so-called producers is very small Independent label. I have told him over the phone several times that we are not a Major label nor a small label. But we have all the recourses as a Major label. is copy and past from his rebuttal and I will reply to each. he real name of My Tony ( At least which we know of ) is Mr Robert Paul Anthony from JHHP records. First of all we never contacted him, so the post started with a lie. Mr Robert friend) contacted us in one of the yahoo's music chat rooms who gave our Id to Mr Robert Tony who messaged and contacted us. He claimed to be owner of one of the hit Label in the country. He seemed interested in checking our singers on the site. (For the record it is Mr. Robert Anthony. I changed my name in San Diego court house a few years ago from Paul Anthony. But Yahoo wont let me update the name on the account so it will always show as Paul Anthony on messenger and I let people know of this issue. And I never said we was a Hit label, The person that introduced me to Tune97.com is subcontractor with my label and we did a conference chat on Yahoo messenger. All 3 of us). As very clearly written in Our rules and regulations section of our Site for many years http://www.tune97.com/rules.html that if a contract take place between a singer and a producer through Tune97.com , Tune97.com should be involved in this contract and may get some percentage of the deal. (it does not matter what his updated terms of service says, My legal department told me that part of his Terms of Service violates California Privacy laws. And we told him that several times, he is like but its in the terns of service and its legal. His company is not in California, his company is out of Wisconsin, I told him we are out of California and I have to follow California laws, he is trying to tell me his Terms of conditions is the law for anyone that does business, but when I first read the terms of service it made no motion of that fact. (So a discussion took place as to what percentage will go to Tune97.com if the contract goes through. (We agreed to 5% across the board, and now he wants to change it, the 5% includes any sign on bonuses, any merchandising, sales, etc) However in the next few days Mr Robert activity on our site started raising red flags. 1. He messaged more then half of over 300 singers on our site offering all of them record contracts. (we messaged a total of 35 artist that we was interested in, only 5 we said we would like to sign you immediately and the rest we said we said we would like to talk to you about a possible recording contact. We did not listen to 150 artist we only listened to 35 tell all drama from tune97.com took place.) Although no Contract was taken place between him and any singers on our site, Mr Robert was eager getting our Federal Tax Ids and other confidential information (although we barley knew him over last 3 or 4 days) for IRS tax purposes for the percentage of the revenue our site will receive from the sale of the singers record. Again jumping to give us revenue from something which does not even exist or even consented by the singer to produce? We signed 4 artist from Tune97.com (To date we owe tune97.com a few hundred dollars. For the 5% sign on bonuses and we will follow IRS tax laws. The President of tune 97did ask if we could pay him under his name and via pay pal. As he did not want to corporate pay taxes. I told him NO we will not pay via pay pal, and we are required to issue your company a 1099 at the end of the year. That is what the IRS Agent told us when we called 1-800-tax-1040. And I said that all checks will be made payable to your company not your name. As he told me over the phone he was a corporation. IF he said he was a Sole Owner then we would have no trouble paying him under his name. but the accounting dept wont use pay pal for security issues. At one time we had a pay pal account and we had over a grand taken out with out our permission. We told him that and he don't understand why we refuse to pay via pay pal. So this person and he came out and said I must be a scam for not wanting to pay via pay pal. But the truth if the matter is I no longer trust pay pal's security, and we are very protective of the bank accounts number), Although we do not think it is appropriate to post some private conversations but to answer lies to Mr. Tony we need to do that (everything I posted in the original message was an exact copy and past form yahoo messenger, nothing was edited). I really think this person is mixing me up with this Tony person. I never go by Tony, never have never will. Any way's when Mr Robert sensed that we are suspicious about his motives so he spamed numerous singing members on our site overnight of spam emails in their mail boxes accusing us to be involved in fraudulent activity and ripping our clients of... We have to temporarily disable our messaging system to halt Mr Roberts attempt to spam our system. (we never sent spam to any of his clients, we have a feeling that he did it on our account, after this whole conversation he said our account was deleted, and the next day we are being told by him we sent out spam, how can an account be deleted and we send out spam. And 2 of the artist that got the spammed message was a free member hence that they don't get e-mail via free service just gold, and they was upgraded to gold just for the purpose of receiving spam on an account. We was told was deleted and we have no access to. Its ok we referred this whole thing to our legal team and we are going ahead with a slander lawsuit. Against tune97.com Finally Mr Robert saw this web site as an outlet to cool off his frustrations by posting private conversation to give it a twist in negative way, not mentioning in the context they were made. (like I said I just did a select all and copy and pasted the whole text on here, he is doing selective text and is not posting the whole thing to try to safe face. This person has never given us a US mailing address so we can send the payment out to his company. he wants pay pal only and we wont use pay pal. We did send $100.00 via western union to use his site as agreed. And now he deleted us because he don't understand how my industry works. In Wisconsin we own DRAGON MAIFA RECORDS and the executive in Wisconsin Mr. Poroski was told not to use Tune97.com) Again we will give Mr Robert benefit of doubt. We still not sure as if Mr Robert is for real or not regarding his true influence in the business industry. But we are sure on one thing that Mr Roberts conduct is very unprofessional and inconsistent. Protection of our singing members on our site is our prime goal and responsibility. Although Mr Robert has given us many offers of bonuses since then but we have refused all. We have not received a single penny from Mr Robert for any of our services he has used nor we are planning to. Yes we have deleted his account from our site for security reasons and have emailed all of our singers on the site alerting on Mr Roberts behaviors. We have not accused of him anything or anything illegal , just caution our singers about his conduct and behavior so that they do not get a similar experience from him. This email alert is also posted on our site. (he sends out messages to clients using an account that was he said deleted, he makes us look bad, we follow all federal state and local laws he gets upset. What is one suppose to do)? A) File a lawsuit for Liable and slander) ALL he has to do is go to Google and do a search all he has to do is call a few offline retailer and find out that JHHP RECORDS does in fact have access to different retailers all over the world. Not sure what more I could do to prove to this person I am for real and so is my label. I sent him all official documents he asked for. I wont say sorry that I don't have time for chit chat if it is not business related, my first responsibly is for the artist and making sure they get the exposure they deserve. Marketing them worldwide, and then go to meetings, network, go to different venues, one of my goals is to have my arist sign to major labels after they meet all requirements. This person already admitted he don't hae a clue what it is like being an executive of a record label. He even admitted he has a full time job at wall mart. (nothing wrong with hard work, and I always shop at wall mart) but don't compare what I do to what you do at wall mart, it is like comparing apples to fish. I wish the president of tune97 luck with is so called business. I am writing as a CEO of Tune97.com in response to very unprofessional report submitted on this site. Our Company started in 2004 and since then we have created a platform for new aspiring singers to meet Producers and label companies. To date we have over 300 singers and 70 producers from around the world. We ask producers what are they looking for in singers like age, sex, location and genre. Using those criteria's we match singers to matching producers. Also we use the same computer generated algorithm when a new singer joins our site. An email alert goes to all the producers about the new singer to whom they have matched. We are also host of a very Unique Online Singing Contest. We believe we were the pioneer in starting Online Singing Contests. Our Contest is Unique in a sense that our web site recognizes three types of voters including regular visitors, our Site Singing members and Site Producers. Each member vote in these categories count 33% towards the final rating. To Date we have conducted more then 10 Online Singing Contests with various prizes to the winners. It is absolutely free to join our site. We provide space to singers on our site to display their talent. In fact majority of singers on our site have free accounts since the site's inception. We do however provide option of upgrading the account to Gold membership for few dollars on monthly basis providing extra features to wishing members. Over last few years we have developed very close ties with producers and singers on our Site. We believe every member on our site belongs to our family. It will be much easier for me to summarize by saying that the report is 95% incorrect and a lie. The conference took place for 30 minutes or more and it was decided that further negotiation should take place after Holiday season. The talk was very positive and there was a good chance that a contract may take place between Mr Robert and that Singer.
