Turn-Key Construction - Brian Patgorski Failure to meet completion of the Job on time, no receipts for work performed. Portsmouth Virginia
On March 22, 2004 I entered into a contract with Turn-Key Construction (Brian Patgorski). At that time Mr. Patgorski stated he would complete the job in five weeks from the start date. Mr. Patgorski assured us the timeframe was realistic since he planned to hire additional workers to complete the task. While I fully expected there would be delays, I never imagined the work would drag into October. (The contract was to convert the attic into a family room).
The last signed agreement with Mr. Patgoraki (Sept 10, 2004) stated that while we are on our vacation three weekd. Turn-Key Construction would complete all noted work not completed by Oct 1st 2004. On returning home from vacation Mr. Patgorski had only purchased insulation and wall board, this was unacceptable. Mr. Pargorski was issued a Lowe's gift card to purchased materials when needed under the direction of a friend of mine. Upon investigating the use of the gift card it was noted that items other then the materials need for the job where purchased, i.e. attic ladder and trailor hitch.
During this time period March - October I had tried numerous times to reach Turn-Key Construction by phone and he did not have the courtesy to retuen my phone calls. As of Oct 11, 2004
Mr.Patgorski was sent a letter from my lawyer stating the terminate the contract, provide receipts for all materials purchased to include accounting for all labor, and a prompt refund of all the funding that has been given to you to date
totaling $16,000.00. As of Oct 19, 2004 I have not heard or seen Mr. Patgorski. I'm in the process of completing a Warrent In Debt with smalls claim court.
I probably will never see the money, I just wanted to inform others of this situation.

In my previous entry, I was speaking only of the work Brian had performed at my home. He has also provided work for my company at a professional office building. He installed crown molding and wainscot in 5 offices and built a work station and book cases that have been the envious talk of our office building. He performed the work after hours so as not to disturb our work day and he cleaned up after himself daily so there was little trace of his having been in the office. The end results are very satisfactory. Yes, we will hire him again.

I am sorry to read the report filed by Philip. My experiences with Brian have been very satisfactory. He completly renovated our kitchen from tearing out the old floor and installing new ceramic tile to installing new appliances and new cabinets. The end result was just short of spectacular. We are very pleased. In addition to the kitchen, he has done several other jobs for us; a new roof, installed several new doors, installed skylights and oversaw refinishing our wood floors. We are very pleased with Brian. His craftsmanship is impeccable and the price is always too low. We would recommend him.
