TURNS contacted me for employment getting my information off the NARMS site.  I contacted with them to do a job back in Jan 2014.  This job was sucessfully completed early Feb.  However it is now the end of May and I have not been paid for my work, .

I have contacted Racquelle Murphy, who hired me, and she just keeps saying she doesn't understand why I never got paid. I also  spoke with the CEO Vernard Simmons, and he told be he would look into it but never did . Sent many e-mails and left voice mails- most were ignored.  A few times Racquelle got back to me to say she is looking into it with their payroll dept.

This company is a total joke!  Do not work for them OR hire them to do any work for you.  Check out their web site at www.turnsinc.com.  They brag about their low overhead and how no one can underbid them...of course that is true because they don't pay the people they contract with to do their work!!  Anyone can  have 'low overhead' and be low bidder if they don't pay their employees!

I filed a report with the Atlanta BBB, NARMS, and Georgia Labor Board.  I am not done yet, either.  I will contact the attorney generals office and the media to alert people to this SCAM.  How dare they pretend to be a legitimate business when they are total frauds! I contracted with them in good faith and they took advantage. I see I am not the only one this happened to.  When I reported them to NARMS ( Now known as World Alliance- an association of workers in Retail) I was told TURNS is no longer a member of this Retail Association because they have received many complaints about them.

Stay away!! TURNS INC is BAD NEWS!!!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, July 27, 2014

I was also contacted by Racquelle Murphy and Denise Robinson asking for projects to be completed in January in Sams Club and Home Depot. The Attorney General of Georgia advised me to send a letter to demand payment, which I sent in May. Denise Robinson signed for the letter, but I never received a response. I also intend to file a complaint with the Department of Labor as well as file a small claim.

Even MORE disturbing is they have people's SSN's. I am still investigating, but I recently had credit card fraud originating from Atlanta, GA shortly after signing forms with this company. So I highly advise anyone who has given this company their SSN's to keep an open eye for fraud and identity theft.

I feel a class action lawsuit would be far more beneficial for everyone who has been scammed by this company. I'm interested in doing that because it is still happening and will continue to happen. It's been going on long enough! I wish I would've known before dealing with this company, but all I can do now is help the next person and hope that one day I can finally be paid through the court of law.
