I was looking for companies, where I was able to order all seasons of some of my favorite series. The google search engine popped of tvaddicts.tv as a result. I was so excited and I did order "First Wave" the complete series.

I received a confirmation e-mail stating my order was being processed and I would get another e-mail within 48 hours. I waited and nothing happened. Then I sent the a mail, asking if there were any problems, because my credit card billing address was in Germany and my delivery address was in the USA.

Still no response from them.

Yesterday I had a strange feelng and I checked out my credit card transactions via internet. TVaddicts.tv requested a charge of $ 179.10 to my credit card, even though their confirmation mail said $ 78.18!!!!

I called up my credit card company, told them NOT to pay the $ 179.10, because this company was a fraud and a ripoff. I am glad I noticed that early enough to put a stop to this. The $ 179.10 were credited back to me again. I was lucky.

I sent Tvaddicts.tv another e-mail complaint, but as presumed, no answer until now and I bet they will not respond.

I felt so stupid, because everything seemed to be to good to be true. All of my favorite series were available - my credit card really was aching to be used. Then I remembered a few things - Tvaddicts.tv had no physical mail address and the ".tv" internet addresses were commonly used by non-serious companies.

I did learn something and I will always choose mail-order companies I know and have dealt with in the past.

I was in the US, when I got the shock of my life. My stepmother accepted a shipment from Canada for me, even though I told her and my father to refuse any further shipments for me. I did receive a parcel from Canada, containing two seasons of "First Wave". TVAddicts.TV was offering all three seasons. Right way, I sent ANOTHER e-mail to them and as usual I didn't get a response. I called their phone number last Wednesday and I was suprised, somebody did answer the phone. I explained to them, I am not satisfied with their services and I didn't unpack the received DVDs and I wanted my money back. There were no discussions, many apologies from their side and they said I will get my money back. I even got two confirmation mails. Now I only have to wait for a return evelope from them, so I can send the DVDs back at their charge. To my surpise, the money was already reimbursed to my credit card by Friday. Maybe "Val", the Customer Service Representative was the only honest person working for this company. To make a long story short, I learned a lot from this whole experience and I am just glad, I got my money back to quickly. I was very tempted to open the received DVD boxes, because the quality of the shows were of interest, but I was able to overcome my curiosity. Goatees4Ever

There was a big bust of dvd pirates in Canada. There is an interesting article about this from a winnepeg newspaper. The article includes phone numbers to call to verify a DVD business BEFORE making a purchase. You can read the article at: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/story/4102852p-4701152c.html Good Luck. In the mean time, I would file a dispute of the charges with your credit card company.

I sent another email to tvaddicts.tv asking about my shipment. I also made suggestions, how this matter could be settled to my satisfaction. I didn't make any threats whatsoever. As already mentioned in my first report, I didn't expect them to reply. So I was right. I read the main page of tvaddicts.tv and just had to "laugh" at their statement: All mails will be replied within 24 hours. What kind of hours did they mean? Earth hours or Jupiter hours.
