Won a 2000 VW Beetle on e-bay. Pictures looked good and the discription sounded good also. Went to pick up car at dealer and it was in front running. I jumped in it and turned it off to check it out. Went to restart it and it would not start. Chris Mensel the e-bay salesman came out and jumped it and said that the car was cleaned and the cleaners left the lights on and killed the battery. He said just let it charge and come inside to make the paper work out. After it had charged about and hour and the paper work was complete I again turned it off and again it would not start. He again jumped it and said drive it home and it will be charged up by then. I had asked Chris at least a six times if it could be the battery and he insisted it was not and restated the cleaning story. Long story short,it was the battery. Bought new one and it worked fine. Wrote Chris about it and he agreed to pay for the battery. Sent him the bill and that was the last I have heard from him. Won't answer e-mails or phone calls. AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY USED CAR SALESMAN HAVE THAT REPUTATION!!

JOHN; YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT YOUR STATEMENT ABOUT THE BATTERY. MY POINT WAS THE DEALER KNEW ABOUT IT AND WAS DISHONEST, ITS THE POINT NOT THE MONEY. BY THE WAY, DO YOU SELL CARS?

Thats a big stink over a battery. If you bought an 8 year old VW and the only problem you had was the battery , you got off EASY. Get over it.....it's not that big a deal.

KIP KILLMONS TYSON'S FORD Tyson Ford and its E-Bay salesman Chris Mensel are why CAR SALESMEN have their reputations. They are perfect examples of why people hate them.
