After filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, the above-mentioned company out and out lied to the BBB. U.S. Auto Parts claims that we've ordered from them previously and that we were told that there would be a restocking fee when the order was canceled. They further allege that we were familiar with all of their policies.
I received the company's response to my dispute and every single statement, except the fact that they did waive the shipping fee, is absolutely untrue. This certainly speaks volumes about the reliability of this company. Not a single person in our family has EVER ordered from them before. It is a blatant lie that we were informed about the restocking fee at the time of cancellation. In fact, we were informed by Alex that there was no problem with the cancellation since the order had not left their premises yet. U.S. Auto Parts never once told us to refuse the shipment. It was UPS who told us to refuse the order since the merchandise had been cancelled. U.S. Auto Parts called and asked why we had cancelled the order and returned it to us one day. Then, on a different occasion, they claimed that they never had the order returned to them. It appears that this is some kind of shady, "back-yard business" and that they are totally disreputable. Therefore, we most definitely dispute their most recent claim. We are dissatisfied with their response. As far as we are concerned, it is NOT SETTLED! We continue to demand a credit in the amount of $193.99 to Brian & Angela Cutler's MasterCard.
