I was looking for the China Beach DVD series on eBay. There was a link on their site to ultimatedvdshop.com I placed my order and for some reason, got nervous about it the next day. I looked up the site on Google and the first thing that showed up was a link to Ripoff Report with a complaint.

I immediately called the company to cancel my order, even after receiving an e-mail "confirmation" of my order. I was kept on hold 30+ minutes each time, nobody ever picked up the call, I called 6 times. I called again today, August 8th, and now the recording tells me to leave a voice mail and someone will return my call.

I also e-mailed the company to cancel my order and each time, my e-mail was returned. I was able to get on the website several days ago to talk to Live Chat. I did this 5 different times, each time I was mysteriously disconnected each time I asked to cancel my order. Finally, on the 5th time, I had someone who could not spell, or assemble a sentence, argue with me about how they are legitimate, and guaranteed my satisfaction, etc. and refused to cancel my order since I did not have a valid reason for doing so. They literally "begged" me to trust them. Then they told me my order had already shipped. Again, I was disconnected when I insisted they cancel my order.

I received an e-mail saying my order had shipped a link with a tracking number for my order Monday, August 6th. To date, August 8th, the Canadian shipping company has no record of the tracking number. Also, the web site has mysteriously disappeared.

This site and other very similar sites are commiting FRAUD.

Luckily I am able to protest the charge on my credit card and hopefully the criminals will NOT get any of my money. Whatever you do, DO NOT order anything from this company.

*** UPDATE *** I did received the China Beach DVD set. After watching the first two DVD's I thought all was fine with them until I started TRIED to watch the rest of them. I'm pretty sure they are NOT legal as some are from the History Channel and some from another cable channel, probably all taped from someones home. There are anywhere from 4 to 6 episodes on each DVD, however, you can't choose which one you want to watch, you have to play them all. If you want to skip to the next one, good luck. The DVD's constantly "stick" and if you try to fast forward or rewind them you are in trouble. The fast forward, rewind and skip to next section is virtually nonexistent due to the CHEAP quality of the "bootleg" DVD's. The DVD gets so hot in the DVD player (I've tried them in 3 different players) that it turns off or won't read the DVD. These DVD's are NOT GOOD QUALITY! I am trying to get a refund for the DVD's plus return shipping. DO NOT ORDER and you won't be disappointed.

I actually RECEIVED my DVD set - It is in good working order, however, I would NEVER order from this company again, nor would I recommend them based on their Customer Service, etc.
