The entire scenario stems with ProductTestPanel. I received emails for a "Free Sony Cybershot Camera, Free Nintendo Wii and Free Ipod Nano" through Product Test Panel. I went through a lengthy series of purchases in order to receive one of the free items. Of course I did not receive any of the items mentioned above but I did receive the 12 in 1 Multivitamins from Ultimate Nutraceuticals. I called to cancel the monthly delivery. The lady on the phone was very pleasant. She stated if I tried Value Plus and Vacation Passport for $1 each, I would receive gift cards of my choice, meaning if I tried each, I would receive 2 $25 gift cards for gas, Home Depot, Walmart, etc that I could choose from a list. I decided to try both of them then promptly canceled the membership after I received the information. This was approximately mid to end Oct 2007. In Nov 2007, Ultimate Nutriceuticals charged my credit card again after I had cancelled the account. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company and wait for the temporary investigation to go through. I received the final credit in Dec 2007. During that period of time, I received the information to send off for the gift cards, either to call a toll free number or write to an email address. One of the sites, I believe it was Value Plus was an invalid web address. I called both phone numbers to have the information sent. I noticed that for both accounts, Value Plus AND Vacation Passport had the same membership number. I sent in the information on both accounts. After 6+ weeks, they sent me more information on both accounts to Choose which type of gift card I wanted. I chose Walmart for both. I finally received the gift card (yes singular). LIMIT ONE PER CUSTOMER even though I had accounts with each. That is why both accounts had the same membership number. I received the gift card today 3/24/08, after approximately 5+ months and sending back the information for both on at least 3 different occasions (6 postage stamps). It's not worth the time or trouble. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. And they will definitely get their $25 bucks out of you some way or another, so the gift card WASN'T FREE!!!
