United Relocation Services, California The price nearly doubled after the original quote. Days late with delivery a mess North Hollywood California internet
DO NOT USE UNITED RELOCATION SERVICES!!!!
This was the move from hell!! I dealt with a man named EJ Burns (the big moving guy) Unfortunatley the enitre thing was set up via internet and over the phone. DO NOT ever make this mistake.
I was led to believe this outfit was affiliated with the professional moving company United Vanlines. I ask EJ if the trucks would show up lettered as United and he said yes.
After the whole thing was negotiated and I got the quote it started. They showed up on the day of the move with a 24' - 26' bob tail truck. I am moving a 4 bedroom home and three car garage. Needless to say it didn't fit. This is the point when they said the cubes of my move was way more than they based the move on and nearly doubled the price from $9,982 to in excess of $18,000. I had no choice but to agree with the terms as the closing on the house was the the day before and I had to be out. I measured and calculated the cubic feet of the trucks that delivered our furniture and the cubes were the same as what was quoted in the original quote. I have not been able to get a response from them since.
They were then three days late with the furniture delivery that was delivered in two Budget rental truck when if final arrived another three hours late that day.
Now that the furniture is in and the unpacking is underway the damage is unbelievalbe. Many, Many delicate and ceramic items are damaged or destroyed.
Meet your mover face to face and if they don't carry a national name, run!!!
