Jan 16 I got a call asking me to be a cosigner for my mother. I didn't want to but because its my mother I considered it. Its 11pm and i wake up to a salesman named steve banging at my door for over An hour. I didn't open the door. The next morning the continiously called my cell and I finally agreed to for into the dealer. It was then I somehow ended you paying $700 down, total of $1000 because they had already charged my mother 300 the night they came harrassing me at home. Thibgs got worst. I wasn't a cosigner, they had completely changed the terms they had talked over with my mother and I was the only one on contract. Not to mention the car blew literally two ninutes from leaving lot. I called steve right away and the tells me to drive the car back to dealer! I have my two year old son with me and how dare the wants me to jeopardize his safety! The car is and has been in their shop since and they do not want to void the fraudulant contract. They even asked me to lie if the finance company calls me, god I wish they do call me. I've tried speaking to a general manager or person in charge but even barry is hiding and they all just bounce me around.

My daughter is Latina also.  I think they are targeting Hispanics because they don't know their rights and won't argue for them as much either.  I'd like to talk to you about filing a class action lawsuit.  I believe you about the hour because they would call us every hour on the hour from blocked numbers and different area codes and just hounded us to the point of emotional distress.  They hounded us because they refused to put anything in writing.   Please contact me at ((((redacted))) to discuss. Thank you.

I said it before, I said it from the start, I didn't want to. Did I sign it? Yes. Now, let say that we, my mother or myself, would have taken the vehicle maybe even had it for just a couple of hours and I get another phone call with my mother saying she doesnt want it. I never didn't from the beginning but guess what, I signed it and its my credit and problem. Not the dealers right?

Therefore even if is remors i would have to take over the payments. I'm pissed off is what I am. There is not excuse for the dishonesty to what they do. Was for the calling the cops question, I didn't think it was necessary at the time. I work Monday through Friday and waiting up for a patrol to show up and knock 3 hours later wasn't in my plans.but if be would have broken my door down and caused loud disturbance I would have called more than once til someone shows up

“forcing signature on contract”

Forcing someone to sign a contract is a serious crime. Did you report that to your local police department?

“Its 11pm and i wake up to a salesman named steve banging at my door for over An hour.”

You were asleep so how do you know how long he was banging on the door? Why did you evade Robert’s question about calling the police? Why didn’t you have concern for your child’s safety when there was someone banging on the door late at night?

“they do not want to void the fraudulant contract”

What part of the contract is fraudulent?

“they had completely changed the terms they had talked over with my mother” contradicts your statement, “I didn't think to check the terms with my mother”

You knew the written terms were not the same as the verbal agreement yet you signed the contract. That does not constitute fraud.

“they took advantage of the fact my mother speaks little english and is latina”

That is possible; or maybe you are using that as an excuse in an attempt to get out of a binding agreement. It is possible your mother agreed to the terms on the contract you signed. Another possibility is that you changed your mind and you are now suffering from a case of buyer’s remorse. Happy motoring!

i know I should have been more careful but I didn't think to check the terms with my mother. I hate to say it but let's face it, they took advantage of the fact my mother speaks little english and is latina.

i have better things to do than to lie and discredit companies if it isn't true. The reason I posted is to warn others and if I dropped the ball at anytime this is a consequence to that. Now perhaps all the facts aren't in there word for word but consider it a summary and the dealer is a fraud. I complained the same day it happened for your information, excuse me for not thinking of ripoff report immediately before trying to resolve the issue.

First of all you get a call asking you to be a co-signer and then someone comes over to your house and for an hour bangs on your door.  An hour really?  How come you didn't call the police, especially with a 2 year old in the house?  Or are we exagerating just a bit on the time or the level of "banging" on the door.

But beyond that if a dealer is "harassing" you for an hour at night, and then continuously calls you the next morning..why in the world would you agree to go down there?

Next, the only way you "somehow" ended up paying $700 was because you wanted to.'  You then apparently sign all of the paperwork without reading it and end up being the only owner.  Let me guess they refused to let you read it and just told you to sign blank papers.  Or perhaps they had your mom tied up in the back and would only let her go once you agree to all of this.

By the way..let me explain to you what a "Co-Signer" is.  A co-signer is in place so that if(or when) the original borrower does not make their payments YOU will.  As a result the co-signer is as legally responsible as the borrower.  What does this mean.  This means that just if any delinquencies are reported on the borrowers credit, any delinquencies are also reported on the co-signer.  Do you see where this is going...well let me help you.  It doesn't matter if you are a co-signer or the original borrower..YOU have the same negative effect whether you are a co-signer or original borrower.  Well with the exception of one thing.  If the payments are not made and the car is reposessed unlike when you are a co-signer if you are the sole borrower you get to take all of the responsibility and your mom gets off totally free instead of being in the same mess you are.

But then they ask you to lie if the finance company calls you..and you STILL were going to go through with the deal.

You know, most of the time it is the parents who are supposed to help their kids in not making mistakes...so in that respect I feel sorry for you because apparently your mom is even more clueless than you if she let you do all of this.

Oh and you got called on the 16th, bought the car on the 17th when it immediatly "blew".  You are complaining on the 19th(with the 18th and 19th being a weekend) that the car is STILL in the repair shop.

If you knew the terms were different than what your mother indicated, then why did you go along with the deal?  Incredible!
