HELLO guys,

Beware!!!!!! i applied via careerbuilder a week ago, they called me the same day asking me to come in that day. i scheduled an interview the day after. that day, there were about 7 others in the small room. I got the 5 minute interview, they told me to come in the next day for the 'day of observation' which is not payed for!! I wasnt too sure of what i would do, i thought it was a position where you would call people and do marketing that way. when i came in, they surprised me and asked me to use MY car for transportation. when we finally got to the plaza they told me 'this is what were selling!'. some stupid coupon pamphlet.

we spent ALL day going to all types of plazas harrasing people to buy. of course, out of all the people we asked only 2 bought it. we finally finished at 7. oh and by the way, they say lunch is on them...ha. the guy took me and another new employee to mcdonalds and didnt even buy us anything but a small cup of water. so when we get back to the office, all these amped up employees high five you and 'Get to know you'. its all very cult like. they offer me the job and ask me to come on a SATURDAY to work. i say i cant but monday i will be there. the guys working there took my number and were like 'are you sure youre coming back? please make sure to come back'. of course, i didnt. they only gave me $10 for gas to top it off. it was def more than that. it screams scam how they dont ask you to submit to a drug test, or criminal backround or anything. they dont even talk to you about your salary. the guy rushed through everything and i couldnt even ask anything. they say you earn about 35,000 annually but its all commision based. supposedly $700 a week, but the guy i was with the whole day accidentally let slip he got $200 last week. so yeah, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE LOCATED AT 4600 SHERIDAN ST SUITE 300 ON THE WACHOVIA BUILDING!!!!

its all a scam they have ads on careerbuilder every day!

I had the SAME EXACT experience with these guys about 2 yrs ago down in Dade. Although door to door sells is not illegal, they should be upfront with what they are doing and what they are about. I too wasted an entire day with another potential employee. We walked around for hours in suits, it began to rain, door to door, it was horrible. Again, for some this type of job may be ideal. But it is rather insulting to be tricked into a day of work under false representation. My counterpart held 2 degress andspoke three languages and here we were pushing office supplies door to door, cold calling more or less, inthe middle of summer. To any one else, I would just say, be very specific and ask them direct questions. Might save yourself the frustration.

I just can't belive that something told me to type in the company name and found this information, my interview is tomorrow. I went to alot of other sites, which you can too if you type in "top flight marketing in hollywood" in the "google" search engine. I found the name of another company that I also interviewed w/ name metroplitan marketing or something like that in davie, fl. They are all affiliated, it seems from what I read. Obviously I won't be going, gas to high to waste time. This is so crazy. No more real jobs out here..............
