Kirstie, I too am/was a student at UAR. I have been in contact with the Department of Commercial and Consumer Affairs office in Hilo, who have sent an investigator to the last known address at Kinoole St. He has reported that the landlord of the building has stated that UAR has not been there for nearly 1 year. I have had mail returned from that address and the phone numbers (fax and office) are disconnected. The DCCA has received complaints over the last 3 years regarding the UAR, also the BBB of Hawaii has received many complaints on the UAR and have given them an unfavorable rating due to no response regarding any complaints. How can we continue to get our degree if there is no office support? By the way, who said that your agreement would be terminated? Was it someone from the UAR? or someone else? How did they find out about your complaint?

Kristie, The best thing you could do would be to stop sending money to this "university". Exactly what type of "advanced research" do they do? The school is non-accredited, non-recognized, and non-existent. There are several accredited schools which will make it possible for you to get your degree at a low cost. Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey, Charter Oak College in Connecticut, and Exelsior College in New York are all regionally-accredited and all allow you to finish your degree requirements by taking online colleges, taking courses at a local college or university, or taking CLEP exams. Good luck!
