Univeristy of Phoenix conned me into what they called "continuing education" and made it sound like a piece of cake. Well, it was far from it being simple.

Most of the instructors do not instruct, they are just there for legal purposes I think. You are given a syllabus and are expected to understand what you read.

God forbid you ask a question about something you don't understand, you will only get the response, "read your syllabus". No instruction is given at all.

I was also taken advantage of on the financial aspect as well. I have tuition assistance available through my job, but yet UOP claimed I owed them extra money beyond that.

I was also misled in the curriculum even though I questioned it. It has cost me on my paycheck due to this poor excuse for "simple continuing education", and poor, so called, academic counselors.

BEWARE! of these con-artists.

Lori, I too attend U of P Axia College. I have not run into this problem yet. The assignments are straight forward. I am sorry you had issues. Yes, the instructors do not do the *best* job when it comes to teaching. However, all my questions have been answered when I inquired. My bigger point I am looking to make, well the only point I am looking to make is about your Employee Tuition Assistance. My current job will Rebate me $2000.00/Yr. If my yearly tuition is $9000.00, Yes, I will still owe $7,000.00. Now if your job says they will cover 100% of tuition costs, then that is between you and your boss, not you and the school. My experience at U of P has been a very good one, with the exception of one councilor, who is no longer employed there.
