I purchased a CA 115H fiberglass trunk with spoiler for a 67-69 Camaro from Unlimited Products. This was an order I placed on the phone. I was told that each one was specially made & would take about 6 weeks. It would also cost $45 additional for shipping. It arrived in about 5 weeks packed well. When I removed it the spoiler area had major defects. Holes & voids in the gel or coating. I decided to try it on my car. It bolted on but would not close as there was about 1/2" of extra fiberglass where there should not be. It would take major fiberglass work to repair the defects & then to custom fit the trunk just so it would close.

I called UP & the person that answered told me I had to send in a complaint letter. I asked if this was custom made why would it not even fit but she said I had to write to Virginia & tell her what happened. I asked to speak to Virginia but she was out. I took 20 digital photographs & submitted them in an envelope with a 2 page description.

Four weeks went by with no reply so I started calling for Virginia. She was always out & I never spoke to anyone but the ladies that answered of which there were two. They told me that Virginia issued the Return Authorizations so they could not help me. About 4 calls later I finally got the lady to tell me she would break into Virginias office & get the RA. That led no where.

I asked for an RA or to speak to Virginia 5 times until it was 6 weeks after I sent in the letter. I also asked who paid for the product to ship back to UP & they said me.

I said no way. I was already out over $200 and not about to pay more or wait for another as it was already 6 weeks since I started the complaint process. I started looking up complaints on the internet & found so may against this company it made me sick. They are banned from doing business in Kansas where I work but I had the trunk shipped to my house which is in Missouri.

I have decided to keep my losses to a minimum. I still don't have an RA but I assume I will never hear from them again. I will not send the trunk back & go thru more headaches as some other people have. Since I saw so many people complain about the exact same problems I had, I wanted to note that someone to help warn other. NEVER buy from UP...NEVER.
