U.P. Charts Bill Roden Total con-artist. This guy will take your money and NEVER deliver the product!! Internet
This company sells topographical charts of lakes and other bodies of water. We ordered a chart/map of the lake that we vacation on. At first, the owner (Bill Roden) was in contact quite regularly. We spent time personalizing our map and confirming details with Bill via telephone and via email. He sounded completely legitimate. We paid $1,000 and never received our map.
Unfortunately, we payed with a check so we had no recourse via our credit card company (which I'm sure he is aware of and that is why checks are only accepted...) We repeatedly emailed and called Bill. After about a year, he called to say that a piece of equiptment had broken down and that that was why he was unable to complete our order. He then stated that he was getting the equiptment needed and would then send us our map. NEVER happened. Do not trust this man!!
His web site is still up and running and unfortunately he is probably taking other unsuspecting customer's money and never delivering their product. In fact, we had a friend call him a year later just to see if he would accept her order. He was ABSOLUTELY ready to take another order. Complete scam!!

Bill Roden and UP Charts is now operating under the name of Big Sky Charts. I saw them at a show and all the samples had the old logo on them. The websites www.upcharts.com and www.bigskiycharts.com are identical. It is sad that many others will be scammed by him.
