UPS doesnt care about customer service, quality, their labor force, safety, nothing.. all they care about is getting things done as fast as possible at extreme expense to the health of their employees and the satisfaction of their customers. Management just wants to go home and collect their salary and bonuses, they could careless about the hourlys' and the customers packages.
You should see what happens to your packages at UPS..

Everyone even UPS makes a mistake... I find it hard to believe that UPS was unwilling to next day air it to where its going unless its in transit and then it would be hard to stop a train. If you thought UPS was going to drive their little brown truck all the way from your store to your customers house that really would not have been cost effective now would it?
Did you recieve a refund on the shipment charges, probably doesnt fix the misshipment but at least you didnt pay for their mistake, if you didnt call and speak to a manager, I would. I think their tracking record is better then the US postal system but go ahead and try it you'll be back as the postal system is way worse and they really would not even care if they lost your package. Sorry that you'll have to reship it but worse could have happened. Frustrating yes, end of the world probably not.
