Urban Nutrition ripoff with autoship for "sample" Hoboken New Jersey
In order to obtain eligibility for a "free PSP" I had to sign up for several free or low-cost offers, most of them for products I was going to purchase anyway. This one in particular, "My Daily Dose", I had no desire to purchase but considering the price tag of the $6 'sample' of their product, it was an easy choice.
Little did I know that two weeks later I would come home from work to find a huge package on my table with a charge for $39.99 inside. I called to complain and the 'gentleman' only proceeded to repeatedly explain to me how I had agreed to the terms of service for their "autoship" program. I explained that I had this unopened box and I was going to mail it back to them but he said they would NOT refund my money, that I had agreed to ... blah blah blah all over again. I can understand that it's entirely possible that at the hour I filled this out I may have overlooked or forgotten about this 'autoship' nonsense. Nevertheless, I believe this is horrible customer service and the only realistic justification I can come up with for the refusal is that they anticipated this type of result from the program and only want to squeeze as much money out of consumers as they can. I won't say customers because I believe you treat customers with respect and as you would like to be treated yourself; ensuring they are happy and they will recommened your business. I have no doubt in my mind that these people are only in it to make a quick buck on a scam, knowing full well that this type of service will only lead to bankruptcy down the road. I hope that anyone else who comes across this offer will either not buy from this company or cancel their 'sample' and their account immediately.
