Urgent Courier, Inc and Owner/CEP Alfred J. Evans and President Trisha Cook This company has been bouncing work checks and not paying its drivers and independent contractors. The management is impossible to get a hold of and they refuse to answer the phone or voicemails. Speaking with the primary dispatcher leads to a feeling that the company is going downhill fast and does not know what it is doing. I will be filing a formal report with the police in Oswego, Il and likely with the county courts as well if the company does not pay the back pay it owes in the next two days. Oswego Illinois
This is a complaint against Urgent Courier, Inc at 74 Stone Hill Road, Oswego, IL. This complaint is against the firm and against both Alfred J. Evans, the owner/CEO, and Trisha Cook, the president. Over the last few months this courier business has been consistently printing bad checks to independent contract workers – couriers and/or dispatchers. Basically, they have stolen my services. I did the work and they have not paid.
Currently, Urgent Courier owes me multiple weeks of pay based on services performed during that time period. Urgent Courier has failed to pay me for work performed from early January 2017 through 2/17/2017. The amount owed to me at this time is approximately $2400. I have the returned bank checks as evidence, as well as the last 3 weeks of text orders of work performed. I also have text messages of communications with the primary dispatcher at Urgent Courier. Urgent Courier should have all of the work orders in their system as well, for every driver.
Other drivers are experiencing the same issues with this company. Experienced drivers with the company are refusing to work - they are all independent contractors -- but I believe the firm is still trying to contract new drivers that dont know any better. Beware!!
This complaint will be filed officially with the Oswego, il Police Department and with county court offices.
