US Jesco Chef's Envy The product is not worth what they charge. carrollton, Texas
This is a very poorly made product, with very poor durability. It's demonstrated in grocery stores, and looks good in the demonstrations. What the pitchmen don't tell you is they sometimes have to go through three or four units to find one that works that they can use for demos. The blades on the base are weakly mounted, and quickly fall out of alignment. The cutting blades on the inserts are flimsy, and bend easily.
They pitchmen imply that it's the company's own design, but it's a standard product made in China that anyone can buy in bulk. They switch between suppliers often, resulting in them selling mandoline's from one supplier and "safety" holders from another that don't fit.
Do a search on Alibaba.com for mandolines. You'll find the exact same item they sell for $30 available for less than $2.50.
