Vacation Travel Outlet potential ripoff in three years, prove that a cash transaction made to the travel outlet. Branson Missouri
I feel strongly that this is a scam but it may be difficult to prove until 3 years have past.
The sales people told us that we would get all the money we put in at the time of sale ($2500) at the end of 3 years if:
(1) we mail in a copy of the Cashable Voucher within 7 days by certified mail.
(2) We mail in 3 years with a 7 day window by certified mail:
all the original receipts including the postal receipts and Cashable voucher to the trust. These document are to be returned within 28 days. They gave us a list and had us read it back to them.
Here is a list of what I suspect can happen when we redeem the voucher.
(1) They insisted that we take a cash voucher to the bank and get cash on our credit card and put the cash on the voucher. My question is, how can I prove in three years that I paid the cash voucher? The cashable voucher states that the trust has very specific instructions. Do they insist that the receipt show that the cash went to Vacation Travel Outlet?
(2) The voucher states that the Voucher may not be "mature" in 3 years and that I may elect to take a percentage(not given) as full payment.
(3) If Vacation Travel Outlet fails to make payment it is also void according to the cashable voucher.
(4)If I'm assisted in being reminded to do the second mailing in 3 years I cannot collect. Is all they have to do is claim that I was remined?
(5) In order to contest the outcome in court it will have to be in New York courts.
There may be more to this that I have missed. I fully expect that I will not get very much back if any at the end of 3 years.
