Valero Gas station rip-off Phoenix Arizona
On my way to work I stopped into store 8138 at 719 East Thunderbird Rd, Phoenix Az. I've stopped there 1-2 times for several years with hundred of gallons of gas purchased. This time the pump (#9) malfunctioned and didn't supply the gas requested. The screen on the pump said 'see cashier. Cashiers Nancy Duarte and/or Maura Lopez were on duty. I explained my issue about buying some gas for work and was told to pre-pay a sum of 20 dollars. I was also told, that any amount under $20 would be reimbursed when I came back into the store, I pumped $15.51 worth and when I came back into the store i was told the register could not be opened and I could not get my change.
I didn't want to be late getting to work and decided to wait until later that same day to talk to the manager. The cashier's names were Nancy Duarte and Maura Lopez and are managed by Brad White. At this point, I decided they've lost my business, but I will also warn anyone I can about this rip-off scheme to let them know to avoid this store. Now corporate has to decide to either protect these lying and/or imcompetent cashiers or protect their businesd, but I will never visit that store for anything at all, ever again.
