A few years ago my fiance and I rented a vacation rental in Florida so went out to several furniture stores to buy all new furniture to transport in our box trk and decorate this beautiful beach front vacation home in Florida.. We finally found the perfect 6 pc sectional Cream color Leather "so the salesman assured us" 100% High Quality Leather as I would NEVER Knowingly buy Poly fake leather... But it looks so real noone can tell the difference..And recieved so many compliment on this gorgious furniture and beautifully contemporary decorating...
Due to the economy the furniture has barely been used over the last couple years so you would think it would look new which it does except for the sheet of poly rubber peeling off everywhere..
I called the store and the manager says he cant do anything because its past its 1 year warranty, except that we also bought a lifetime protection policy which does not cover this fake fabric because it is NOT Leather after all...
He easily told me what this material was .. However the reciept clearly says LEATHER/ LEATHER PROTETION POLICY...
This Place is a scam Company in my opinion as any other place will tell you sometimes poly material is used on the back or sides even in high quality pcs these days, but they never misrepresent that the pc they are selling is "Leather Where seen" when this is the case.. I have purchased much leather furniture and auto seats in my lifetime and have never been swindled like this.. Even in the past 10-15 years where it is common to use man made materials in unseen areas. It has always been disclosed sometime during the shopping part.. which is Leather , which is not, which is "where seen"..
I've shopped here before and know thier other little scams like the couch and love seat is a great price but if you want the chair it cost double or visa versa but MISREPRESENTING and selling pure trash poly for leather? This is outright Fraud!
I will be sueing them...
