We are in the military and choose to keep our phone on in our home due to our security system and have been allowed to do this by paying the basic phone charges.  In our last deployment Verizon stated they cannot allow the service to continue and we will have to pay the full amount on the phone and DSL wireless bill.  When I contacted Verizon to state that we are deployed, they stated they do not recognize deployment and our phone had been on vacation.  I emphatically stated that we are not on vacation and asked if there is a way to help us because we need our land line for security reasons.  Verizon stated that they cannot continue to allow us to keep the phone on because we have used up all our vacation time.  They stated I will have to pay the entire phone and internet bill and they will continue to bill at the full amount as if we are living and using the services at our home address even though no one is living in the home.  I told them to just disconnect the services because I was very sick and tired of having to deal with the company as a whole.  Any one who has any dealings with Verizon knows that you cannot get any two people at that company to say the very same thing.  This is the most retarded company I have ever had to deal with.  I asked if they all had the same training regarding any one particular service.  Since the time I have used Verizon services, it has been a wear-you-down kind of technique.  I am waiting to see what the next bill from Verizon will be, but it will not be to my advantage to try and talk to any representative because it seems they are trained to take your money.
