Verizon wireless had intentioanlly and willfully tried to defraud me of $800 for 17 weeks. they continue even though I have written proof.

I took part in the Samsung galaxy S7 Buy one get one. on 3/30. since verizon had previously used the fine print of "not responsible for rebate submissions "lost" in the mail" to defraud me on previous ones of over $150, I wanted to be careful and get this carefully documented.  I specifically asked if there was anything to submit to fulfill the rebate. I was told:

You : now how does the bogo work

You : Is it like hte rebates that I have to send in hte Barcodes off the boxes after they arrive

CARMELA : Once you choose the $28 for the S7 or $33 for the S7 edge you will complete the order and within 2 to 3 weeks you will be mailed or credited a Visa prepaid card for $672 for the S7 or $792 for the S7 edge.

You : ok. it happens automatically, I don't have to do anything else?

CARMELA : Yes that is correct and you will just complete the order for the new line and then customer care will do the rest.

After waiting for weeks I called in and was told the same thing, but to wait 4-6 weeks this time.  Still insisted that it was not a rebate, so I couldn't sumbit anything. JUST WAIT.

Waited until 5/11 and chatted again to get things documented. I was told:

 

You : How can I track when my Buy one get one credit will be sent for the galaxy s7 offer?

JUSTIN : Usually you would get some kind of email about the promotion details with everything in it. But when did you take advantage of it?

You : it said 4-6 weeks, which we are coming up on 5-6 weeks. I want to be sure its not like the other verizon rebates /offers and is conveniently "lost"

You : I purchased teh phones around 3/30

You : the agen I talked to said there was nothing else I needed to do, they would send the rebate for the free one out in a few eeeks

JUSTIN : Thanks, from what I'm reading about the promotion you usually get the credit within 8 to 10 weeks. But did a rep say 4 to 6 weeks. I just want to make sure I'm reading into the right thing for the buy one get one free deal

You : I thought the rep said its usually 4-6. Is there any way I can track or see that it is being processed? Out of previous offers verizon has only honored 1 of 4 and "Lost the others"

You : this is almost $800 I want to make sure this is not "Lost" as well

JUSTIN : I apologize there really isn't a way to actually track a credit since its just something that's added to the account. I see that you do qualify for the promotion since you added a line and upgraded another one so you did everything correctly. The only thing now is to wait for the visa card with your credit in the mail

JUSTIN : But from what I am reading the 8 to 10 weeks would be a better estimate. It says you would receive the credit within 2 to 3 bill cycles which is about that amount of time

JUSTIN : Is everything okay on your end?

He confirmed that I had done everything right and that I just had to... you guessed it -  WAIT

two further calls were answered the same -  nothing I could submit, just wait, its not a rebate so there is no tracking..  Finally I called after 14 weeks of waiting on 6/29 and was told that it WAS a rebate and that I had to submit an online form. And tried tellling me to look at the rebates website for the details.  I told him to check the chat transcripts and he said he understood, but it needed submitted so I did.  

And waited.  

On 7/8 it was marked invalid due to invaliod dates of purchase.  chatted and called back in.  and was given a long runaround for hours but promised:

Riley : I appreciate your time and effort to let us know your concern, and I guarantee you that your credit is going to be refunded after meeting all the requirements except the time frame of submitting the form for rebate on time. 

and was told to submit the chat transcripts to their e-mail address which I did. I was assured that since they had seen a lot of this it was being escalated to senior management.  

On 7/13 I called for an update and was basically blown off by the rebate center. Called verizon who conferenced me in with the rebate center and was told that they saw it was already approved and just had to wait another 8-10 weeks to get the card- done deal. Guaranteed.

on 7/14- I was notified it was again rejected as invalid.  $800 fraud is not small. 5 reps telling me (2 in writing) NOT to submit in an effort to get around honoring the rebate should be CRIMINAL!! 1 person is a mistake-  5 is systemic FRAUD!!  then since the rebate center is not verizon, verizon claims they cant do anythign about it,  the rebate center says what verizon does is not their problem.  I'm ready to pull my hair out.

 $800 !!!
