VersaTalk called & tried to sell their long distance service.

I declined. No contract or verbal authorization ever transpired on my end. My checking acct. number got into VersaTalk's hands & $29.95 was being "stolen" every month. I called when I first saw the unauthorized deduction to cancel immediately. The teleprompt cancellation process took place; or I thought it did.

Next month the deduction appeared again. Called 3 times to cancel. Finally got a live, rude person, cancelled again. Was told there was no record of any cancellation attempts but was assured deductions would stop.

Went to bank, put stop payment on my account. Sent letter to Versatalk demanding my money back. Found VersaTalk in Tampa, Florida. Contacted consumer protection (813-903-2212/3430) email: [email protected]. Got immediate response.

Filled out complaint form, sent proof of bank deductions. Couple of days later, received email response from investigator. 1 week later, money was recovered.
