I went to buy a car, and just contended with the usual pushy, rude car salesman rubbish. My salesman for the day was Mark Byrne, at the Glasgow showroom on Dalmarnock road. I went for a test drive, and he said he would take my credit card details, in case of damages,etc. I thought nothing of it, went for the test drive, etc. I didn't buy there and then, but said I would get back to him. Due to changes in work shifts, I didnt get round to returning his phone calls over the next couple of days. I did manage to get back to him and the car was sold, but I had changed my mind.

However, on checking my card statements, lo and behold, my card had a 35 charge made on it, just a couple of days after the test drive. I re-told this story to one of their admin team, who said that taking credit card details IS NOT NECESSARY when taking a test drive, its only in exceptional circumstances, such as nor having a driving license with you, but I DID have my driving license with me, and he even had taken a note of this number I'm sure.

The charge made was on a music download site, which I 100% DO NOT USE AND HAD NEVER HEARD OF, and my credit card details are very secure and have never, ever been compromised in my life either previous to this or after. Either Mark Byrne, or someone in the company has used my card, but most likely it will be him. However, Verve did nothing about it, even when I brought this to their attention.
