I recently was trying to get a payday loan when a pop-up ad came along and said, "Need $500 emergency cash, click here." Said fill out this application and recieve card in 6-8 weeks.

I got my card today and its a debit card. To me, when someone says need $500 emergency cash, it would be there emergency cash not your OWN. Also, I was charged $159 for this card and nowhere on that site did it say anything about a $159 charge.

I contacted the company and asked to make sure this was not a credit card and I was just missing something. I told the lady I have 3 Visa debit cards already, can I get my money back. She said no it was in the agreement. The agreement I looked at said stuff about paying back on a credit card not putting my own money up first.

So I got charged $159 to give them transaction fees when I spend money. This is ridiculous. I've read others reports on this and see at least I'm not the only one but, is anything ever going to be done to stop these people?
