Complaint Review: Virginia Employment Commission - Alexandria Virginia

I have a very similar situation.  If you get this comment, can you let me know how you resolved it?  Thank you

 Please read what I am writing before posting your comments:

Blacklisting someone is illegal. I am the last person on earth who deserves to be blacklisted. You did not even read my post but was asked by someone to write these lies to make me look bad. Do you work for Virginia Employment Commission? If I wasn’t blacklisted I would not even be applying for unemployment. I did not apply for it for 3 months. I have great skills: analytical, technical, excel, I learn any new software faster than anyone and worked for all big firms and have my MBA. I am not a princess; I had to work super hard on everything (I am from Russia originally).  I tried to leave this firm by finding a job before leaving. Very quickly I realized that I was blacklisted already (I would get emails and headhunters would come to meet me but very quickly disappear and give me a very strange answers). New boss who came, she absolutely did not want to see my challenges, I told her and her boss that the work volume is not acceptable for one person and that I am not feeling healthy anymore. Every time I would ask to bring additional help even temporary, my boss would increase my workload and abuse. I was cut between a rock and a hard place - and to save my life I had to leave! I explained all of this to Virginia Employment Commission. I could not get any other job, which is unrealistic with my set of skills and I was harassed and abused every single day. I forgot that I am a human being and that my life just as any human life should be the priority and that is as bad as it gets.

My profession is a Sr Financial Analyst - there is plenty of work there. It is a hard work; I normally stay focused every minute and work very fast without making errors. I worked for other firms as well, have 12 years of experience and never brought up cancer staff because it is only my problem. But now situation became deadly for me and I posted this so hopefully someone will give a good advice. I NEVER looked for a free ride!! It was very hard for me to come from Russia and work, learn the language, get MBA. I always planned to work and make a good living. But when it comes to the point that you get scared to go to work - you have to leave.

When I said that I am fighting for my human rights, this is exactly what I am doing. Unemployment supposed to help you with the hardships. It is not nearly enough to pay your bills but it saves you from a complete disaster. I am a finance professional of 12 years and I would prefer to work and not to write all these letters! I am doing it as I truly don't know how to get out of this situation!

Also these are the facts:

1. My new boss was let go of from a big firm where she worked before.

2. All my interviews get cancelled in a very strange way - but suddenly I am being interviewed by the firm from where my abusive boss was working before, by the man who was her replacement... Apparently she did not have a good reputation there... Don't you think it is strange? 

 3. The firm that I left forgot to cancel my metro benefits for 3 months. I told my mom over the phone about it and next day my benefits are cancelled, strange? It was in the middle of the month. The only way to explain it - someone is listening my phone conversations. It is all very bad...

4.Many people that I don't know are sending me the invitations to the LinkedIn. When I am asking them how they know me and why they think these connections are relevent or can be helpful with the job search, they disappear or giving some ridiculous answers.

5. Any man that I tried to date  - get their car windows broken or just really scared. Nice?

6. I asked police what should I do when I am blacklisted and they came to my place. They did not help of course. After they left in 10 mins I was scheduled a phone job interview - first phone interview since I started my search. It was the strangest interview I ever had. They were asking me questions which were not even relevant to make me look bad, like I did not know the answer. These indian people who interviwed me had no intentions to hire me  - it was a show orchestrated by someone. Strange, don't you think? I think that I don't have privacy anymore.

I know that some people will be sending comments just to make me look bad and make Virginia Employment Commission to look good. Before you do that, please understand that I am only want to survive this horrible situation and this is the only reason I am writing it.  I just don't know what to do. Think about if someone you love was in this situation.

 I had NO CHOICE but to leave this horrible job. I am eligible for the unemployment, because I had NO other option but to leave. When I was being harrased and abused there and my blood preassure went up - it put me to the risk of a heart attack! I presented enough evidence that I had no other choice but to leave. It is you who doesn't know what is going on.

 It is a horrible comments that you posted. I was abused every single day at work and overloaded with the work that 3 people should do. I received this comment in a few minutes after I  posted my scream for help! YOU have been asked by someone to post this as it has nothing to do with what really happened. I was not fired, I had to leave this job because I was aftraid for my life. Many strange things happened there and I was doing a great job actually! You are a liar and a coward! Virginia Employment Commission have plenty of evidence that I had to leave because of the abuse and horrible treatment. Now a am being blacklised and can't find any job.

THe fact that there are people like youb in this world makes the world a horrible place. You should be a shame of yourself!

Do you know who would be paying unemployment? Of course, you don't know. A big chunk of unemployment (if not all) is paid by your ex-employer who let you go. If you are fired, there is no unemployment for you. If you want the money, you have to sue your ex-employer for it. There is nothing that the VA unemployment department can do for you. Period.

 You were FIRED from your job, im betting that you were fired for insubordination. This means that YOU ARE NOT ELIGABLE for unemployment. You can whine and play the victim all you like. Yes it sucks that you had cancer, but it bears ZERO revelance to your getting unemployment. YOU WERE TERMINATED!! Period. After the fact, after you were fired, then alligations of abuse pop up. See how fishy it looks? You are doing the STANDARD response to not getting your way. First you attempt to garner sympathy with your cancer, then you accuse them of abusing you, then EVERYONE is against you and do not want to work with you. Sorry but YOUR type of story has been abused to the point that it doesnt work anymore. Its pure fiction on your part, and it really looks like they called you on all of it. Your perception of reality is what is causing this. You percieve abuse where none may have been intended, thereby causing unnessasary drama in the work place. Im also betting that your the type to run your mouth when you dont think the person you want to bad mouth is around.

You had options while employed. You could have taken this to your companys HR. You could have retained a lawyer. But you did NONE of these succesfully. You have been denied unemployment due to the circumstances of your termination and nothing more. Your accusations of abuse have NOTHING to do with your unemployment. You may have been blacklisted, but this is something that your own actions have caused. They wouldnt JUST blacklist you for no reason. YOU behaved poorly or YOU did something that caused them to blacklist you. You can continue to PLAY THE VICTIM but people are not going to buy your story. You are NOT entitled to unemployment due to your own actions. Get over it and get a new job. And maybe address the behaviors that got you into this situation in the first place.

Its not a concentrated effort to screw you over. Its the circumstances of your termination. YOU WERE FIRED!!!!! Thats all. Get over it princess, youre not going to get any free money. You will just have to do what the rest of us have to do, juggle your bills while trying to get ahead. To sit there and bash your former employer because you were fired is a low brow and sleezy tactic, meant ONLY to garner you sympathy that YOU DO NOT DESERVE!! YOU were fired because of something YOU DID. To attempt to play the victim after the fact only goes to show how childish and immature you truly are. You are NOT entitled to unemployment, you DO NOT DESERVE unemployment. What you are doing is attempting social blackmail. You think survivng cancer ENTITLES you to unemployment when it doesnt factor into your unemployment claim.

Lastly I wish to address your "claim" that you are fighting for your "Human rights". I hate to tell you this, but youre fighting for your wallet, not your human rights. NOT getting unemployment is NOT a violation of your "Human Rights". I would suggest that your ex employer is telling the companies that are checking on you that they would NOT hire you back. Depending on the severity of what your ex employers says, that could scare away any potential employment. Then again, you are in Virginia. It is a Good Ole boy situation your in. They could be getting together over a few rounds of golf and just telling them to NOT hire you because you are YOU. One wonders WHAT type of person you are when STRANGERS who dont know you WONT hire you.
