Before reading the older Ripoff Report below – be sure to first read this story first about how Vision Security tried to bully Ripoff Report into removing Reports made by dissatisfied customers from across the country. … “Vision Security a history of regulatory violations, including multiple sanctions by many state Attorney General’s, regulatory authorities for deceptive business practices to consumers, tens of thousands of dollars in fines, and loss of its license in several states is exactly the type of business Ripoff Report was designed to expose.”

Rob Harris and the "company" (a handful of guys) that is Vision Security is deceptive in all levels of its operation. The company lies right to your face, with a smile on its own. They have absolutely no problem telling you what you want to hear in order to squeeze more work out of you. They pack more than 6 or 7 people into a tiny apartment, doesn't pay them for weeks on end (because of "funding" issues) and then reams the employees for not working hard enough. Rob Harris's "company", "Vision Security" has had multiple threats of litigation from large companies such as ADT levied as his, and others' sales techniques are extremely deceptive. Currently they are facing charges from Monitronics and Platinum Protection for some of these deceptive ripoffs. This "Alarm Company" imitates other companies that are major companies in the industry, and makes the customer signing a contract seem like a continuation of their current service for less. This is not the case.

Vision Security is one of the best companies i have ever worked for. They treated me very fairly and paid me on time. The company is very secure and they reward their employees for their loyalty. I just went back to school and the company was very flexible and helpful with every transition. Anyone with a desire to work hard will see tha this company can change their future!

I worked for Vision Security for over one year. I was always paid in a timely manner and NEVER did I not receive pay for work performed. When working in the field I shared an apartment with my wife (and no one else) and the single salespeople shared apartments but not bedrooms.
I sold over 50 systems in the summer of 2011 and all of my customers are still clients and my customers and friends. All of these customers were fully informed of the services they were obtaining. I know there are salespeople in this industry (at all of the companies) who are unethical. Those that worked in my office were let go and only quality salespeople were allowed to work. I would use Vision Security myself in my own home!!! I had a great experience with Vision and left to pursue another opportunity. I would return to work with Vision without any hesitation.

Rob Harris is a liar and a thief. They rip reps off by charging them insane deductions. $140 for waiving activation. Another $140 for doing landline systems. $280 total hit for waiving activation on a landline account. They say they pay every two weeks so they can steal your money away if you have a voice. Like $7600 worth of commissions. They are flash of the trash all the way. They recruit managers and salesman buy buying them from other companies. Here is 18k come over and bring your team. We will hide our deductions or change them in the middle of summer and rake you and your reps over the coals in deductions and make our money back x10. Hope Karma catches Robber Harris!

I have worked for several alarm companies over the past 8 years. I have known many other alarm reps who work for Vision. They introduced me to the owner and operations of Vision security. I later set up several families with home security through vision and every one of them have been super pleased with their services. I have also been treated very well at Vision and paid every dime I was owed. There are alot of alarm companies out there and everyone of them have good and bad qualities. Vision has represented themselves well and gone above and beyond with my customers and my needs. I haved moved on from being a security rep but out of all the companies I have worked for I would suggest vision to anyone... Im sorry you're upset, your rant explained it well that your simply not happy. Im glad I, as well as many others I know had a good experience with Vision Security.
On a side note, Vision does install hardwired alarms.

Rob Harris is the biggest liar I know!!!!! Do not work for this shady individual! If you couldn't tell the last rebuttal was from an employee. Rob Harris has screwed a lot of people out of hard earned money that was rightfully theirs. Look up Vision security on the BBB and you will not find them. The company is going nowhere because of its poor ethics. Sales reps. beware go to a different company that is reputable! They claim their pay scales are the highest but it's not true when you look at all their hidden deductions. Stay AWAY from Vision!

This post was made out of frustration with Vision Security. I made some untrue and unfair accusations and I apologize to Rob and Vision Security for doing so. I believe Vision makes every effort to treat their employees fair and conduct their business in an honest manner. Much of what transpired was a result of poor communication and Vision has done its part to clarify things as to why things happened the way the did.
